Remember ''how much does American's know about the world'' video, from some Australian network?

This is how you make those videos, this video, and similar videos.

    1) Set up a selection of very simple questions, that not everyone knows. Alternatively, ask someone to provide info about a simple subject.

    2) Talk to enough people so that you have 5-10 minutes worth of outright wrong answers. Leave out several hours of people giving correct information.

    3) Post it on the internet ''Person from x country/state/continent don't know about x subject/country''

I'm sorry, but these videos are so goddamn generic. The makers of the video has no case, they have ONLY provided video time from people who don't know anything about the subject.

To sum it up, this should not be considered facts.

Dunno about that. When I think of next in line for super power status, I think China or India... If there's a lot of news coming out of Brazil, and they start competing with the United States in a way China does.. then more people would pay attention and be more aware.

I bet they can't point Brazil on atlas. I'm kinda surprised that no1 mentioned their gift for football yet.

It's the largest country in South America.
It was a colony of Portugal, which is why they speak Portuguese.
    The capital is Brasilia.
They have a giant statue of Jesus, located in Rio.
    Carnival!
...and they produce some of the finest badonka-donks I have ever seen.

That's the bulk of what I know about Brazil. Is that enough, for someone who lives 4000 miles away from it?

I get a bit suspicious of these videos too. They really don't know "everybody" they ask, just the ones that don't pay attention to the outside world.

As already pointed out, the economic growth in Brazil recently surpassed that of the UK. Whether that's more to do with the UK going down or Brazil going up or a combination of both, I'd say they're definitely in the mix now. Especially given their geography and natural resources.

an older article on it, but still somewhat relevant: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18560_162-20073776.html

I know that the person that made the video cant even spell Brazil correctly. He or She spelled it Brasil and then very next frame shows a map with the correct spelling of Brazil

Carnivale is just an excuse for people to get drunk and walk the streets naked. A waste of time if you ask me. Who wants to be drunk and naked in front of thousands of people? I might go if people were sober and well dressed and they had street food vendors and rides

Err, what do you want to know? Brazil and Argentina's history fascinates me.
In fact as far as I'm aware the UK is the only european nation that outright bans guns for civilians.
Shotguns I'll give you (provided you're allowed 12 and larger gauges... because I mean... come on...) but not .22s.
This is why people ban guns. Gun supporters don't know what guns are.
