Read this far and stopped. The 'true' Horde lies within Blackrock Mountain, and Draenor.

The playable Horde needs a different name imo, they are way too reasonable.
When you hear the word, Horde, do you think a coalition of races that will more than occasionally join with outside forces to dismantle nasty beings, and consists of half peaceful races?
Or do you think of a pack of bloodthirsty, brutal warriors who seek to wipe out all in their way?

I think the latter is more fitting. I personally am hoping that Garrosh recruits the real Horde under Blackrock mountain, and also the Yaungol in Pandaria.
They are collectively the most hordelike creatures currently on Azeroth. All that's left is for the reinforcements of Fel Orcs and Demons to walk through the portals, and then we have ourselves a right mighty, and very nasty, group, which possesses exactly what Garrosh cares for most above all else, Strength.

Obviously though, the demons would be much, much later into the xpac, as there has been some hints towards a Burning Legion xpac next.

we already have that for every single Warcraft since Wc3
Even now, with the Horde and Alliance waging war, we still have to team up again in the end against Hellscream

But I can totally see some people of the Horde not being pleased with the outcome of MoP.
After all, they sacrificed blood, sweat, and tears to the quest for victory, and they have nothing to show for it.
Kinda like how Germany felt after WW1

Council may not always be the best form of leadership either.

It works if all the people in it think exactly the same and do exactly the smae things, but when people have different opinions on what to do, mostly just ends up with people arguing rather than getting shit done

We have faced trials and danger, threats to our world and our way of life. And yet, we persevere. We are the Horde. We will not let anything break our spirits!"

If filabuster is the only strategy, then yes. But compromise is, and always has been the name of the game. There is no best or worst, but there is better and it's relative to the situation. I suppose having an "Emperor" on the Alliance is "better" for the situation in MoP, just as not having a dictator is better for the Horde. Thrall had loyalty and respect because of his actions. Garrosh thinks loyalty and respect comes from fear and domination. We all know he's gona learn the hard way how wrong that is.

I'm sorry, but your trying to push your belief that your definition of what the horde is can only be the real horde.

There is a reason the progression of the story reached where it did, from where it started with the horde, to where it ended up. It is because of changes along the way. The horde you think of is called the old horde for a reason, and one that was left long ago.

similar to the way you do in just about every thread i read. you also refute any possible rebuttal and take criticism as a personal attack. its borderline hypocrisy. i honestly dont know why i continue to click on these threads, hoping to see some positive arugements, when i know that all i'll see is pure garrosh hatred and rabid thrall fanboyism.

now, on topic. firstl id like to see voljin as warchief, not because i think he's some badass character but because he seems to have the best intentions among the rest of the leaders. naturally cairne would have been first in line but they decided to kill him in a book and i dont think his son has had enough face time for people to feel like he's a capable leader, kinda like how garrosh was forced down our throats. should the singular leader approach not happen i would like to see the horde become more of a council type heirarchy similar to that of the alliance pre-varian high king. each faction has their respective leader among the races, baine for the tauren, voljin for the trolls, thrall for the orcs, lorethemar for the blood elves, slyvannas for the undead, and i havent a clue for the goblins since their leader is somewhat missing after the starting zone lol.

And seemingly being returned to since Cata started...
Horde is synonymous with warmongering despot. Progression of the story can also move away from the image of the "Horde" and any of its negative associations...

I think if we've learned anything of current events and what it represents, its that in the horde being lead down the path of being like it once was, it let itself fall back into a place it was trying to move away from.

Think of it like, the orcs were normal guys, and then they discovered heroin. They got high on it and were suddenly taken off it, and the withdrawal was harsh. They had to slowly build themselves up again after that kind of self abuse, and were getting there, until some punk came along and offered them an alternative to heroin, which got them high again.

So the orcs (lets be honest its the orcs in this whole thing) will be having to come back down off crack or heroin or whatever narcotic they are now, and sort there shit out once more.

Except the story and its consequences aren't just about the Orcs nor are they solely effecting them, and the story really shouldn't be about them only, but like I said early, cdev wants Orcs vs humans and everyone else is along for the ride. The cycle has to break for the story to move forward. I'd say the 40? year timeline since WC1 needs to change, it needs to be about everyone, not just humans and orcs.

If that was the case now it wouldn't be about Varian becoming high king, Anduin the prince who will one day be a beckon of light, of Thrall the world shaman or Garrosh the corrupt warchief. Like it or not, the game is set about orcs vs humans, the devs even said this was so, and the other races, well now getting development, are not the front runners of warcraft's story.

Voted 3. 1 had the word Thrall in it, which immediately made me convulse into spasms. 2 would pretty much mean that either the game would end with the renegade Horde who killed Garrosh would leave, or that Garrosh would not die/be ejected from his role as Warchief; from a story standpoint it'd be fine, but from a "game will continue" standpoint, no dice.
