My guild tailor agrees wholeheartedly with you! Infact, he thinks you're SO right that he encourages you and anyone else who'd look to craft that bag to NOT do it! He proposes you all organize a strike so you'll be idl-- err, busy protesting yout righteous views! (Note: This has NOTHING to do with the fact he's making a FORTUNE of those bags and would appreciate less competition. He claims to have made over 200k so far and still going strong even with prices dropping fast as more and more people aquire it! NOTHING to do with that AT ALL!)

Seriously though. Any tailor who'd played it smart would've done what he did. He's made a fortune simply by selling those bags for insane profits. Huh, I guess you WERE right! You have to be insane. Insane NOT to have been fast and smart about it :P
Enough with bashing eachother, guys.. This community is still young and needs to grow up and show that not everyone are jerks. We're gamers and we enjoy games, don't bash eachother over what games they like or their oppinions, but don't let them bash others either. We need to come together and stand up, as a community, and help eachother out by being respectful and understanding. Please.

Here's what I'd like: Once you get a new reputation level on 1 character, you'll get it on all of them, so once I hit friendly on my main, all my characters go to Friendly, but they'd all have their individual progress to Honored, until one of them gets Honored - then all of them go to 0/12000 Honored as well. This would stop you from 'stacking' dailies on as many chars as possible for Exalted in days instead of weeks, but still give you the benefits of Honored/Revered/Exalted for all characters.
I doubt Blizzard will deviate from their current plans for 5.1, but what do you guys think about this idea? ^^

for the love of god, i would love this. right now its a pain to do anything on an alt because of the amount of rep grinding i have to do on my main to get gear just to do it all againb for my alt...wtf so far this x-pac is non alt friendly

At least that's what I thought would happen, but nope.
That is what EQ2 did. Only one player on an account has to grind the rep, and any items that are exalted only could then be bought and shared with alts. It made leveling them through important faction grinds (especially the mastercrafter questline, as that offered the profession cloak and profession only shiny earring) more bearable.

Blizzard wants to gate content from being blasted through, but there has to be other means (like group building projects) that can serve that purpose and not feel as grindy. At least with group building projects a player can elect to do more or less, but some measure of participation is needed to unlock another phase. Players need time off time to not burn out, but something tangible and rewarding to come back to the project. Can see it as a work in progress in MoP with the painting quest (and even earlier with phasing), so that can be a time sink without feeling like a chore.

Need better pacing, and not the feeling if you miss one day, you're a day behind schedule that keeps adding up.

Yes. I'd love to see it (and secondary professions too) BoA. But I believe it's too late for that (at least for this expansion).

They should make it really hard to get reputation (but many different ways to get them, like collecting rare items that spawn in the world).

If you complete a quest in a character (not daily quest) you can't get reputation if you do the quest again (different character).

Don't make it necessary to be revered to get valor gear (so nobody feels forced to do them and as I said, it'd be really hard to get reputation).

And add more factions like The Tillers.

The bonus rep on alts in 5.1 "more than enough"? Kind of you to disclose you don't have any alts, but hardly relevant.

It's insufficient. My 110 Golden Lotus rep will become 165 now? The generosity. Now instead of doing 191 dailies to get from Revered to Exalted, I only have to do 128.

They should allow us to purchase BoA tabards upon reaching exalted with a faction that either allow us to grind rep in dungeons or amplify the amount of rep gained through daily quests by a larger factor.

I can't even stomach the idea of developing multiple alts through a slightly reduced amount of the same mind numbingly unoriginal daily quests.

    Reputations itself? No!
But I wouldn't mind if Blizz make account-wide counter for "Rise X reputations to exalted" achievement Leveling old reputations when you switch "main" is boooooooring :P

Yep, planting can be fun (reading Blizzard?).

Now just waiting on some fishing leaderboard + bait for fishing. Popular past time at end-game in another game, especially waiting on groups/raids. Activities like that can happen at any time and anywhere fish can be. A nice way to kill time and not feel so pressured.

It's important to enjoy the time sinks, not regard them as chores.

How about when you hit revered or exalted you are able to buy a boa tabard from them and gain rep through dungeons like in cata?

OK: Cenarion Circle, Brood of Nozdormu, Ashtongue Deathsworn, Ashen Verdict
Since the primary benefit is buying old raid gear or Mounts and pets, which are account wide now.

Not Ok Bloodsail Buccaneers, Steamwheedle Cartel, Silverwing Sentinels, Frostwolf Clan, The Aldor, The Scryers
Since these can cause issues on characters, also it can be a way to avoid the requirements for certain achievements.
I like this idea... seems like a good way to minimize needless grind without allowing individual characters to bypass specific odd requirements, or achievements whose sole point is the grind (ie: Bloodsail).

A hundred times YES !!! Like On my druid I have almost every faction exatled and I would NEVER do it again on my others toon ever.
But some restrictions would have to go in place aswell.
I'm neither Pro or Anti Flying, I just have a different opinion on the matter.

  12. #52
If you do the grind once you shouldn't have to do the exact same thing again.. especially for gear on alts :/
They already made reputation mounts account wide(and the achievements) so why not just make the whole rep account-wide?

I...just get more and more worried about the playerbase with stuff like this. People want their professions able to be used across all toons, and same reputation on all toons, I'm just...I'm wondering what people have alts for, if all they really want is one supertoon.

You can hate on me all you want, I've got 2 90's, several 85's waiting to be 90's, and about 3 or 4 lowbies as well. I work on all of them, professions, LFR, dungeons, dailys, everything. And I'd hate for reputations to be BoA. There CAN be a fix, but this wouldn't be it. I've said it before, I'll say it again, should only be an option to gain the extra rep; wearing a tabard, the thing you can buy to increase rep, stuff like that. Not just have all the reputations the same across the board.

Mmm, I don't think it's really necessary especially with the double rep for alts thing they're bringing in (wish they'd do a patch just for that rather than waiting for 5.1 but that's another story). Also, for all the complaining about rep you can get every MoP rep to exalted in what, a month and a half? Is that so bad? And you don't even need exalted.

In fact I reckon if they reduced the requirement to start Shadopan and August Celestials from Revered to Honored with Golden Lotus you could get all factions unlocked at least to Honored if not Revered long before you had enough VP to spend.

Even if you did have your rep from your main made BoA, your alts would still need to do dailies to get charms...

P.S. Totally not replying to you just because I was mesmerised by your avatar.

no, there is no point to get a fast track to exalted on every character. you already get all the mounts (Save serpents) from hitting exalted from one... and yes the lil boost to revered is nice because of how valor works.. but for other reps? no not even a little bit

    ---------- Post added 2012-11-18 at 11:31 PM ----------

You know which dailies make people go out and shit? The tillers, and the cloud serpents.. the Tillers has to be the best new addition to wow, ever... it's something I enjoy doing, now grabbing five people to blow through GL because I have to... though that damned 300 food I have to get ruins it a bit for me.

Before MoP and all its dailies I would say a definate no. because that would make the game too easy in getting certain mounts/items. But with all these dailies, getting gear from those and account wide achieves/mounts etc, I have absolutely no problem with it. It doesn't really matter anymore, especially with account-wide mounts atm. It made the game a bit easier already, now only account-wide looms and i'm good. I'm not against the idea of account-wide mounts etc, but if you do that, you might aswell make heirlooms and rep account wide.

Problem is currently nobody cba to do a month of dailies on their alts anyway, it's a time sink wasted whilst other activities could be played. Because of this we're already a nation of 1 super main

One exalted should unlock the quartermaster items for the account but not give you account wide exalted status.
