Didn't you know that the scenes on Hoth in Empire Strikes Back were filmed in Canada? We all live in underground ice caves.

The biggest shock of the last decade (2000-2010) is 9/11.

the biggest shock for me the last decade was that the day 15/7-2009, i opened my fridge and there was no beer inside.

Norway is such a small nation that everyone knew someone that knew someone that died, was injured, or was in the city center when the bomb went off. I remember cancelling a lunch at the city center that day (would have been 500 m or so away from the bomb).

9/11, MJ death, Greece winning Euro 2004. The last decade was pretty god damn awfull from 2004 onwards, everything got worse starting from movies, music and ofcurse people.

In order for that to be true, each victim would have had to have known over 500 people.

That was probably one of the biggest shocks for me as a football fan!

For me, personally, Steve Irwin was a great role-model for animal control, rights and - well - he's an awesome guy.

Yeah, it sounds strange, but he's one of the few people I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news. Was in ZG with my guild doing some retro stuff when somebody talked about it in guild chat. =/

When I got loot from Elder Charm Coin roll!

But in all seriousness, seeing a documentary on children using heroin in Afghanistan because of the war or Children Underground documentary.

Also there are a lot more documentaries that shocked me, like some from VICE etc.

It's called empathy. Nothing wrong with not having it, but a lot of people do.

...that would be the "awesome guy" part, along with his happy cheery zany personality. :P

And that was the trick I loved about him. He didn't really "wrestle crocks" - he REALLY was trained to catch them with no nets purely for not wanting to harm them. It wasn't for show, and I respected that tremendously about him.
