Grinding Honor - Why so damn slow?

Aye, if the honor gains were bigger, there would be a LOT less bots. Currently it's too boring to farm.

You don't like to farm pvp gear, but when you get your last piece - all of a sudden - pvp becomes more fun?

On topic, the grind is not slow at all.

Why do people always want everything to be free and easy? Get some competition spirit (like it's hard to grind)

Hey common unless there is some main difference between honor earned in US and EU it doesn't take long at all. This expansion it goes really fast to gear with honor, I've geared so far, without to much effort:

My main, priest for both shadow and disc
Hunter
Mage

: ) Just do random bg, block AV and Isle of horrible fail and try do some battling in the others, it doesn't take very long at all, perhaps 2days per character and you'll have some fun too. Well unless you have the wrong idea and you actually hate pvp and don't want to do it at all, then i suggest you change game

IT is not slow its fast !!!!
I menage to get 20k honor in ONE SATURDAY of IOC weekend.
Comparing this to TBC. I could not get that in AV weekend even tho i did over 30 hours of BGs that weekend with my mates.

So stop whining and get that honor grind going.

I'm actually convinced as of now that Bots wouldn't vanish from BG's. Many of these people especially on the level BG's are PvE people who simply can't be bothered to level the normal way and figured it's easier, safer and makes them more money to let their bot run BG's. And from the ammount of people I've been seeing on LFR in the blue honor set they might keep doing that so they can join LFR.

The mats for most Contender's sets are pretty damn cheap, you can easily get most of them crafted for 1k gold or even less. You can start arena in that and battlegrounds will be much less painful.

Get Contender's and go grind the amulet + rings + trinkets in battlegrounds, then do arena for points. 1800 points will get a 483 item and a new character will soon get a reset day and another 1800 points for another 483, that's two items you don't need to honor grind for.

I do think that battlegrounds would be a lot better if the honor grind would be nerfed and the honor trade goods vendors updated so that you get rewarded for running them even when you're geared. The way it is right now unrated bgs are just full of bots and people semi afk grinding to get the gear (and often they're just gearing for PvE without caring about the PvP). People who join bgs just because they want the gear for ilvl to get into LFR or whatever don't usually even try to play the bg.

once im fully honored geared, i generally wont queue for another random bg for the rest of the season unless im testing something, there isnt any sort of reward for doing expect for honor cap which i have nothing to spend on.

maybe if they added some sort of gold reward to the first random of the day might get some more gear people playing randoms
