That's a hell of an interviewA: Yes.
"WoW's 8th Anniversary event is also now live, so be sure to check your mail for the Celebration Package and a familiar letter. "
I thought Deathwing was dead... The Cataclysm was merely a setback!
Its a shame. Blizzard is a shame. The same letter, really ? !!
This is all that matter from those news. Now it is easy to say, well, we only have 21 people on at raid time, let's just do 10 mans instead of cancelling the raid. Then you go down the road to transitioning to a 10 player guild. It isn't a reflection of what our players want, but what is simplest for the guild leadership. We are looking at trying to better incentivize 25s, recognizing that for it to be a fair choice, there needs to be something to compensate for that additional logistical burden.
More comments from a dev (and especially the lead encounter designer dev) that 25s were royally sc#ewed for 2 years and that they are thinking of ways to fix it.
The death or the forced downsize for so many thousands of 25 people guilds around the globe in the past 2 years, due to a stupid and narrow minded change, is a stain for this game.
If they were thinking that they are better off 25s they would have them deleted instead.
They didn't, but with those changes they made so many people suffer, and especially those that were making 25s to happen in the first place.
Lol at the letter, Blizzard you're a year behind.

Wasn't this said like two years ago when they did this initially? GG taking so long to realize something that was pointed out to them from the start. I also like how their message for the anniversary is from last year. What's new though, we've known they were lazy for a long time now.
Level 90 Challenge mode Shattered Halls? Gtfo that would be insane! Haha
Ion Hazzikostas seems to be saying that not many people are doing Challenge Modes.
Of course not, challenge modes are useless - you go in there, get smashed, realize it's going to take 2 hours to clear the thing unless you're an immortal and for what? Nothing... They should give Valor after failing the bronze timer, no matter what. Then you'd see more people invest some time into it. Right now, it's simply for the Paragons and Blood Legions of the world to have another way to show off.
I like how you just passed over the same-letter-as-last-year issue with "familiar letter". Smooth.
None of the uber guilds are on my server and plenty have completed them on gold or silver. Man up and treat them like 5 man raids. They become farmable after you figure out what you need to do and then become your best source of valor outside of what you end up earning that week in raids.
About the anniversary: Really Blizzard? Is that how lazy you have gotten? First WotLK anniversary was the only year you did an anniversary right.
Beware of the dragon everybody!
In the US Customer Support forum, a blue has addressed the 8th Anniversary letter.
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7179478237This is a known issue about receiving last year's note and it is being investigated. Sowwy 'bout that.
Q: Without spoiling too much, do you have any awesome raid mechanics coming in the future?
A: Yes.
Well, he sure didn't spoil anything
Separate lock outs was the only thing keeping 25m raiding alive. Better ilvl items, a lot more of them, and you could just form a couple of 10s for even more gear.
Shared lockout killed 25mans, because people automatically goes to what's the easiest to handle. Funny thing.
You might wanna do your research on that cause last time I checked there are less 25 man guilds and more 10 mans. Yet less 10 man guilds have cleared heroic content this tier. I mean basic maths mate 1 person dies in 10 man 10% of your raid is gone and only 1 combat ress means that 10% may be out of action for the rest of the fight. On 25 man there is much less pressure on indavidual players. Before I get burnt here I'm someone that went from a 25 man guild to 10 man I was a class leader in a 25 man guild and in charge of ranged dps, now I lead a 10 man group and I can tell you which I think is harder :P. Further more looking back as far as naxx 25 man was way easier than 10 by a mile just one example for ya.
