I miss that noob feeling, only knowing that your attacks do damage and that quests give you experince and not even knowing what the lich king was. I would honestly love to have that feeling again in todays game as the new experince is so much better and guides you very well, i can rember the countless hours i got lost and how it took me around a year to get from 1-60 in wrath.

Simple fix would be to just slap cataclysm portals, a portal to Jade Forest and transmog/reforge, etc. in those cities and bam, no longer ghost towns.
