    Thoughts On Upcoming Build

    Hey everyone,

Building another new machine because of the upcoming Black Friday aligning with some employee discounts. Most of my gaming includes MMOs, particularly WoW and GW2. Gaming will be done at 1920x1080. The GPU is the one thing I'm considering. I wanted to keep it close to $1000 after rebates and I need a new monitor. Anyone find some sweet deals on the negotiable parts?

    Non-Negotiable - Cost: $265
    CPU - Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I73770K
Mobo - Intel BOXDZ77GAL-70K LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

    Negotiable - Cost: $714
    RAM: $50 G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL
    GPU: $180 - $40 rebate HIS IceQ X H785QN2G2M Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
HDD: $110 Western Digital WD Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
    PSU: $85 - $25 rebate CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance Power Supply
Case: $80 COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
    Monitor: $179 - $20 rebate Asus VS247H-P 24-Inch Full-HD LED Monitor
CPU Cooler: $30 COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible with Intel 1366/1155/775 and AMD FM1/FM2/AM3+

I will be overclocking the CPU and most likely the GPU depending on temps. The HDD is the another I'm hoping to find something better for my money. Pretty sure this will be my final setup but perhaps someone has found something nice out there.

    Thanks,

    Pejo

Sign me up for retail edge as well please.

Everything looks good, but I would spend a bit more on the GPU. There are likely some 7870 deals pretty close to that price.

perhaps see if you can snatch a cheap 60gb ssd for boot/wow and get an WD green eco drive for storage?

    I'd switch some parts:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130826 230$ GTX 660
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811352007 60$ Arc midi case.

Rest items look fine. PS get SSD! if your budget allows.

Thanks for the responses - I'll definitely look into a SSD and the other stuff. The Black Friday Sales post showed up some good stuff
