    Graphics card/processor upgrade!!!

So I've been running with a geforce gt220 for the past 2 or 3 years and while at the time it was a tremendous upgrade from my previous card (believe it or not) it's just not cutting it. Xmas is coming which means I'll have more money in my pocket and I want to upgrade mainly my graphics card but also my processor. Budget I'd say would probably be between 200-300 dollars on both parts (so 400-600 total).
For my processor I'm using an AMD Athalon 5000 dual core, I haven't really looked too much into parts for upgrades on this one but I was looking at the radeon 5600 series for the cards. My biggest problem is probably the fear that something won't turn out the way I think it would. I can read up on how everything works and such but I'm definitely a hands on and visual kind of learner. Any solid recommendations? It's mostly for gaming, I play WoW, GW2 and LoL, I'd like to be able to play in high - ultra with decent framerate in wow and mid to low with solid framerate in higher demanding games (I know that's probably asking for much with my old computer!! lol).
    Thanks in advanced ^.^

Not too sure on the prices in the US but here goes

    ASRock Z77 Extreme3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 $99.99
    Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) $219
    G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB $39

Not sure on GFX cards myself as I am still looking for my next card :P

But with them prices for a new CPU/Motherboard/Memory it leaves a healthy margin for a beefy GFX card I dunno maybe something like
EVGA SuperClocked 660 $229 as I say not too sure with the gfx cards

With old components like you have, you probably need new Mobo&PSU aswell so go for these:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...=Combo.1101716 295$ i5 2500k & Asrock z68 pro3 mobo.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151094 68$ PSU
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130826 230$ GPU (GTX 660 ti).

If you have already new mobo&good psu go for this gpu&cpu:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125423 350$ GPU (GTX 670)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116504 220@ CPU (i3570k)

    400-600 total for upgrade
What PSU do you currently have? Do you live within a micro center?
I would recommend a 7850/7870 or a gtx 660 depends on your budget

If you really want to pinch every dollar and will not overclock ever I would go with a slightly cheaper CPU and pair it with a b75 motherboard.

    ebah I'm using Asus M4A78

No I don't have a microcenter near me unfortunately, closest one is one state over :/
    For PSU it's a 600W

I will get people disagreeing with me but

    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/oTQT

I would suggest something like that.

The parts listed will handle LoL/WoW/GW2 on high just fine.
If anything I would try to grab some ram TODAY. "usually go for 40-50" try to get them for 30ish.
