    Question Tempest Keep Help

I hope I'm just making a noobish mistake here, but I ran into Tempest Keep today, hadn't done it since I was 85 on my hunter a long time ago and couldn't remember the raid very well.

Anywho, read on WoWhead that you can skip the first three bosses and just go kill Kael'thas. I think, "Oh nice, that saves a lot of time."

So I run to the back of the instance, Deterrencing and Feigning Death to get adds off me and reach Kael's room. He's not there.

"Ok," I think, "Maybe that was wrong, no big, I'll just kill the other three like I have before." So I run back to kill the other three, come back to Kael's room, and he's still not there. My friend in the raid group asked if the "glass behind where he stands is shattered." I say I don't think so, it looks just like it should in the various screenshots of Kael standing in his spot.

Either way, if it bugged, I screwed myself over and have to wait till Tuesday :\ What I'm trying to figure out is how it happened and how I can keep it from happening again. Or if I stupidly messed something up, which is quite likely, what not to do next reset :>

    Any help is appreciated!

Has your friend in raid killed him this week? That might be the reason he is not there.

Sounds like you joined a raid ID where he was killed.

you created the raid by inviting somebody else? no warnings when you entered that 1 boss was dead?

No warnings when I entered that anyone was dead :\ The person I was in raid with wasn't even in the zone, they were in Naxxramas at the time.

Did you accidentally extend the raid ID? Or did your friend?

if you mouseover your raid ID, it should show what bosses you're saved to. It could also be a bug, which happens sometimes. A soft reset is 30 mins with nobody zoned in. take another peek later.

they probably were saved though. just check youre raid id and see what bosses are left
strange that you didnt get a warning though

Checked Raid ID, has no info whatsoever on Tempest Keep. All my other instances show defeated/available, but TK has nothing when I hover over it.

This only works for WotLK raids and above. For Vanila/TBC it usually show incorrect info or doesn't show any info at all.

Then why can I see it for Karazhan? That's a BC raid too, right?

The details of the raid ID are currently bugged for several TBC raids and don't show any information.

It's most likely that the guy you grouped with had already killed Kael and there was probably no warning because the final boss was already dead. It's happened to me before.

Yeah, they went in after me and all the bosses in their instance were dead, though they didn't kill them :\ So I guess it's exactly how Nether put it. My lock overlapped with theirs somehow and I never got a warning when I went into TK.

Ah well, next Tuesday then. Thank you everyone :3
