Sharing the net with flatmate

I have the internet in my room as i own the internet account, my flatmate wants the net too now, he is in the lounge, can we share the 1 internet account we both have modem routers, or do we both need wifi

If your modem has multiple ethernet ports (thos that you draw internet from), then its simply finding a cable thats long enough and plug it into his pc and connect it to your modem.

If theres only 1 ethernet port, then you need to attach a switch before splitting it between you and your roommate. You can also use his modem, but would most likely require some confirguration.

Dont forget to put restriction on speed, otherwise he will eat you speed with any torrent client running

You'd need 1 modem 1 router and thats about it really.
