How do you fill your ice cube trays?

I couldn't really explain the methods I was thinking of but I surprisingly found videos doing both.

    Pocket by pocket:

    Gravity:

    Which method do you use?

I'm just wondering what "Other" is.

Put ice cubes in the tray on the counter, wait till they melt and then put em in the freezer.

Filling up a bucket with water and dipping the trays into them real quick!

I dunno, I put it there just in case somebody has some creative method of doing it.

Gravity. It takes way less time, and gets the same amount of water in each pocket assuming you hold the tray at a 45 degree angle and have an even water flow on both sides of the tray.

When I fill up the trays, I actually do a little bit of both, then I tip the tray side to side to level them out... Damn compulsions to have everything balanced and even.

There is a tutorial on how to fill an ice cube tray on YouTube?

    Gravity, of course!

And the challenge is getting them all at the same level of water, which involves tilting the tray in many directions for up to a minute...
...what? it has to be perfect!

    XD

What the hell is this "ice cube tray" you speak of?
Do people not have ice machines? I thought it comes standard with all freezers.
