Erm what? Really? I mean seriously, could you honestly say that comparing the two (prior CRZ & post CRZ) PvP conflicts haven't increased?

The only "World PvP" that did happen before CRZ's were implemented was the occasional group of 2-3 bored raiders sometimes running into a city or outside of Org/SW sometimes Goldshire depending. There was never anything happening out in the world, I leveled from 80-85 in 4.2 on my priest entirely from questing, not once did I partake in any PvP, nor was any available. The only PvP that occasionally happened in the world was outside of raid instances at summoning stones.

Also this, I love how there's people around now, even whilst you level. Shit it's almost like it's a World of Warcraft or something.

I think the question is a bit backwards. CRZ in its first pass, apart from the business of invites and the things that hardly anyone complains about, is not really about your realm. It's about populating Azeroth a little more deeply at all levels so that it doesn't appear to be so empty. Eventually, it may be the foundation technology for things like cross-realm auction houses but that remains to be seen.

As I implied in my earlier post, CRZ technology is really all about Blizzard's future plans for how they want to manage the game. To view it simply as "How does it benefit me or my realm" is to miss the point somewhat. In the long run it's about something bigger than either an individual player or realm.

i was serious while i was leveling my monk from 12-85 i seen like 30 levelers total...rest were 90's of either faction, seems we differ on the opinion of an alive zone, as id call a dead zone coming alive, a dead zone being filled with chars of the appropriate level questing there not full of max level chars of either faction that are ready to pounce on anything they can attack

well with no crz inside cities and pandaria they kind done away with servers, all that are left are realm types and battle groups, at the rate blizz is going with this there will be no more battle groups soon which is worrying

What means "pvp" ? Player versus player

Is there a player behind the 90 and the 45 ? Yes, imo. So it IS pvp.

Is it fair pvp ? No at all. Is it good pvp ? Not for me. Is it fun ? Obviously it is fun for at least one of the two.
No matter how you turn it, ganking IS pvp, it's not fair, not fun, not what you want, it is still PVP.

And if you don't want being involved in open pvp, don't go on a PVP server, period.

i've been on a pvp server since i started playing and that was before woltk and pvp was never as bad as this, but sure give me £75 and ill move my toons out otherwise invalid point

also while i remember be4 mists came along with it's crz, wpvp was actually wpvp, a low lvl would get killed by a high lvl and then that low level would get his main and they'd fight.

now its max lvl guy ganks lowbie, lowbie logs main, main arrives at max lvl ganker, ganker mounts up and flies up coz they're scare of real pvp, are u relay trying to tell me that's wpvp?

if some1 ganks me i log my main only to find that they are safe in the air when they see me, that's not pvp is it? tbh i think its the gankers that should move

CRZ is one of blizzards better ideas. it is very buggy at the moment and it could definitely use some tweaking, but getting rid of it altogether would be a huge mistake

I hope everyone who votes "No" never gets a quest done, a node farmed, or a rare spawn ever again because of overcrowding they can do nothing about.

The only place where I really think it needs to be disabled, or like, throttled is Hellfire Peninsula.

Otherwise, it is fine as is.

Your argument keeps going back to PvP. You should have rolled on a PvE server if you dont like to be ganked. This has been known since November 2004. Its hard for me to see/empathize your side when the problems your speaking about have nothing to do with CRZ and everything to do with you getting mad over being ganked. . . . on a PvP server. This argument has been done to death in Vanilla WoW. Blizzards stance has not changed on PvP realms, and it shouldnt.

The zones are very much alive. Im not sure why your trying to pass it off as "ONLY GANKERS" because thats false. Ive been leveling a monk, and have been amazed at the amount of people the CRZ has brought to all the dead zones throughout the game.

my point there was i seen hardly any ppl using the zones regardless of the faction m8 so i don't really see any point of CRZ only thing CRZ is good for is bandaiding the problem of low pop servers while adding no benefits to higher population servers, i think the maximum amount of people I've seen in a CRZ zone except form hellfire was 8

yeh 8 people in a questing zone is filling the zones

the reason i singled hellfire out is coz horde and alliance are ganking each other to hell there so obviously that zone will be populated, but my point still stands i have seen no more than 8 people in any other leveling zone, once i'm out of hellfire the other outland zones are still near dead bar the odd people.

as for ur "only gankers" comment it seems to differ between battle groups, mine seems to be more plentiful of gankers than levelers yours must be the other way about

    Nope it shouldn't.

There should be some balanced AH pricings though, because currently my realm's AH is insanely overpriced due to bots off other realms taking all the nodes.
It makes me poor, and Engineering/Mining is near impossible to level currently.

People complain about seeing people ingame, which is dumb.
People complain about having nodes taken off them, which is dumb, but it does ruin the servers economy if other realm-bots are taking it off them.
People complain about being ganked, which is meant to happen on a PvP realm, and always has.
We stopped searching for monsters under our beds when we realized that they were inside us.

Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?

CRZ is horrid....and for some reason every cross server guy i meet either (1) doesn't speak english yet tries to communicate >.> or (2) is super rude / tags mobs i'm about to hit, and since my monk is tank spec...i can't lose aggro so i end up killing 2-3x more mobs ><

Dear god no keep crz on pve realms I got stuck on one cause of my gf and the only saving grace is that crz is giving me more world pvp to enjoy.

BUT blizzard is working on it, and I daresay that the issues will be solved and blizzard will improve upon CRZ instead of remove it. And one day, new MMOs will be laughed at if they use something old-fashioned like different servers.

Not a blizzard fanboy here, but I DO like that blizzard tries to push the technology instead of just copy-pasting stuff from other games (which they do, too, but that goes in both directions) Remember phasing? Was quite buggy and had issues (ICC porting stone) in the beginning as well, but they are always improving on it and personally, I haven't seen another game that uses that technology.

So no, CRZ should stay, and for good. Live with it.
There are so many bugs. I do not mind the people, I just ignore them and if they are not on my server I do not buff them but it is the bugs.
It is the waiting for mobs to spawn because Blizz cba to reset spawn timer. You do not need to group - Blizzard nerefd all group quests so even the 9 year olds can solo anything and grouping does not help when you need to collect 10 of something.
It is the slow respawn of herbs/ores because Blizz cba to reset spawn timer.
It is the lack of rares because Blizz cba to reset spawn timer.
It is the lack of pets for taming, or seeing them and flying back to discover they have all vanished because they are out of phase.
It is the being dismounted from 2-person mounts at almost every zone change - which Blizz have admitted will take some time to fix as it has been there for some time but when it was just when you were on a boat it did not matter. My bf used to love to just fly round and we spent hours exploring finding areas or wonderful scenery - we do not do it now because of the dismounting.
It is being told EVERY zone change I am in the wrong zone.
It is that it was implemented full of bugs (which were found on the US servers the weeks before) JUST before MoP was released to reduce the number of complaints they would get because everyone was so excited about MoP CRZ would be put on a back burner. Magnificent manipulation by Blizzard because they will not close failing servers and admit the US and EU player base is decreasing steadily, it is the Asian servers that are full. The game now is so much grind because Asian players do not complain about it like EU/US players do, they expect to work for things. Blizzard focus is on Asian servers not the west - they could not even be bothered to update the 8th anniversary mail message we got.

I had 3 accounts. I know have 1, 2 unsubscribed because on top of all the nerfs for the bed wetters who dominate the EU servers CRZ was a bridge too far. When the subscription ends on this account, that will be the end. I do not have to live with it, it is like telling someone who's husband hits her, you married him, live with it. You don't - you walk away. Losers stay with situations they hate.

It's fine how it is. Like it or not, people aren't meant to be the only players questing in a zone, and gathering professions were never meant to take an hour to max out. Though I'd have rather they just merged servers, cross realm was still the next best thing they could've done.

  18. #98
I've had pretty good results with CRZ on PvP servers. Sure I get ganked but it's what I signed up for by joining a PvP server, but actually seeing people and having general chat going on regularly is better compared to before.

Before MoP I would see maybe less than five people total during the leveling to 85 and this is on a high population server.

The only thing I could see as an issue is gathering. Wouldn't CRZ mean that instead of each server having their own mining / herb nodes they now have to share with the others effectively reducing by how much a server has?

  19. #99
My only experience with CRZ has been a positive one. Leveling was beyond dull until I had people to kill while I did it again.

  20. #100
I keep reading people's responses that don't seem to have understood (which is retarded) that the OP is only talking about PvE servers, so saying you love how there's now world pvp again doesn't apply to the realms in question. L2read.
