Recap of major changes

Hey MMOC, I've been thinking about coming back to WoW with MoP and i havent kept updated since Cata dropped and haven't played since mid-late Wotlk, i wonder if someone could do a recap over what's been happening and major changes, and is the game still as enjoyable as Vanilla/TBC or is it worse? (Yes i understand that question is subjective but on overall is the game getting better or worse?
