Most Iconic Video Game Weapons

I think a lot of people don't understand the word iconic. The light saber would be #1 on my list.
Probably followed by Megaman's arm cannon.

I thought of the lightsaber, but to me it doesn't really scream "video game." It's in numerous video games, I get that, but its also in countless other genre as well. Its just so wide spread throughout the mediums that I didn't consider it.

Agreed. I mostly associate it with the films. Whenever I think of Star Wars, video games don't come to my mind first. The movies do.

The Light Saber isn't really that Iconic as a VIDEO GAME weapon, mainly because the Star Wars franchise is a multimedia franchise that started as a Film medium, any and all Video games relating to star wars are simple expansions of the universe into another medium, and lore isn't canon until Lucas (Now Disney i suppose...) says so.

Lightsaber? Yes its iconic. Iconic to Video games specifically? No.

Nailed it. Final Fantasy 6 is still one of my 3 favorite games of all time along with Chrono Trigger and Eternal Darkness.

Not really. Neither one are iconic to me. I can't believe people list stuff from WoW and Portal 2 as iconic. Its an insult to veteran gamers.
