Heh no one mentioned the Rip You a New One weapon series? Oh it's better known as it's abreviation of R.Y.N.O.
Definitely an iconic name if not image.
Oh and to all Legend of Kain fans that game was actually a byproduct of an attemp to make a new Chakan the Foreverman game. Then they realized most people wouldn't enjoy a game that brutally difficult and as such we got the Legacy of Kain series.
Master Sword + Hylian Shield.
Gotta agree with this. You can show just about anybody a picture of those and they'll know where it's from.
Forgot to add Masamune. It's not so much the image as it is the name, but anyone that's played a JRPG will know that name. Doesn't hurt it's borrowed from real-world folklore.
i add those:
the vorpal blade (alice 1+2)
and pretty much every other weapon from the games (eyestaff of the jabberwocky!)
the spectral reaver (legacy of kain series)
allready posted but now with pictures. i liked it the best in soul reaver 2 with all the enchantments.
Why noone mentioned Masamune and Murasame, recurring weapons in Square games, yet? Oh and Excalibur, Ragnarok. Save the Queen!
No Chaoseater?
Boom! Explosive Frisbee Launcher!
(Spinfusor from the tribes games, if anyone doesn't know)
This explains a lot.Originally Posted by Henry Ford

Crowbar from any HL game.
For me personally it was the Dark Slayer and Moonlight Sword from King's Field.
Also the Chaos Breaker from Shining Force.
