He probably has the power to kill then entire world.
He wants us dead, and wants to destroy.. why doesn't he come here and do that? Instead of wasting time and having us come up with a way to save ourselves, he can end it with one strike.

if you were on the planet mars and you fired a BFG into earth do you think it would explode?
same principal
Because Azerothian old gods' united power would probably turn him into stardust?
He wanted to get his hands on the Well of Eternity at first. He got pushed back as he tried comming through the portal that summoned him. He's tried several times to come to Azeroth but got denied, I don't know why he never just set foot on the world personally by flying overhere.
Because it's hinted he's still regenerating, or near finishing regeneration, from our last encounter with him.
When we severed him from Medivh, plus killed his Avatar, etc, he was sent to the Twisting Nether as his spirit, left to regenerate and seethe in anger.
During that time period, Kil Jaeden gained control over the Burning Legion, who we defeated and pushing back in BC.
Over the last 2, and now 3 expansions, the Burning Legion if I had to guess is regrouping and reforming to assault Azeroth in one massive, never before seen assault, and if I had to guess, Sargeras is near fully regenerating himself.

Not sure he's really able to "end it with one strike."To this day, it is unknown what really happened to Sargeras' real body or avatar. Many believe that Sargeras’ spirit yet endures, hungering for revenge against the only world ever to withstand the Burning Legion’s might...
've is short for have. C/Sh/Would've or c/s/would have. Not c/s/would of.
Because then there'd be no game.
I don't understand people why try to weave together all sorts of nonsensical or fantastical logic to try and explain things when the answer is so simple.

I think it might be the same complex as Arthas as the Lich King. It was speculated that there was a shred of humanity left within him that kept him from unleashing the full force of the scourge, hence why we needed a new Lich King at the end of WotLK.
Perhaps there is still a fragment of Sargeras's former self deep inside keeping him from completely unhinging.
Also possible that since the Burning Legion is far spread across the nether he may or may not have business else where: other worlds to conquer, failed minions to punish (The ones we sent packing), etc.

I think the other Titans are preventing this. I refer to Ulduar and other in-game Titan references. Maybe they know the value of Azeroth and other similar planets.
As for Deathwing, it was like a dragon ball Z scenario, 3 episodes/patches to get some shit done.

Many reasons, he doesn't want to destroy us, he revels in pain and suffering so he won't just kill us off straight out even if he wanted to. He was also corrupted by the 5 old gods of Azeroth, 2 of which have been defeated, but the 3 remaining gods are still alive on Azeroth. It's not so simple as just killing us all in one fell swoop. And we can't begin to understand the power of the Titans or the Old Gods at the end of the day, yes they may be powerful but how powerful is powerful, compared to a human being? Through sheer force how much strength would it take for one of us to destroy the planet (non nuclear weapons aside) the number is unfathomable.
Just because the DBZ crew can blow up planets doesn't necessarily mean that Sargeras being the most powerful being in Warcraft is essentially that strong in comparison.
Because he can't actually get to us. The more powerful the being you wish to transport, the more power you need.
Hence why a single warlock can generally summon small, lesser demons with relative ease... but to bring in a much more powerful demon (say, Archimonde or indeed, Sargeras) requires a significant source of power as well as a summoning ritual. Hence why all the Burning Legion invasions have begun with small forces infiltrating, converting the locals to their side to assist in gathering power, then ramping up over time to be large armies until it ends with the biggest, baddest demonic force of them all: Sargeras himself.
There's also the whole, he's been severely wounded in the past and is recovering, etc.
Oh, and an interesting thing to consider (though is purely speculation really): Sargeras is now a being of chaos and destruction. He is utterly opposed to law and order, which the Pantheon is generally all about. So let's say he swings about his sword and kills all life in the universe, destroys everything so that there is literally nothing left except him.
...That sounds awfully non-chaotic, doesn't it? Absolutely nothing. Pretty orderly and tidy.
To have chaos, you need 2 (or more) forces working in opposition to each other. You need to fight, to wage wars. So maybe this waiting around is entirely intentional: he's letting us build our power, so that when he does attack, we're going to put up a damn good fight. We'll need to exert even more power to fight him off, thus creating even more chaos and destruction than if it was an incredibly one-sided fight.
Food for thought, at any rate.![]()
Yeah, yeah... just some "plot fluff", a quick excuse as to why he doesn't. :P
It was the same with Deathwing who didn't bother to actually cast his cataclysm spell until 2 minutes before he's about to die and already half drowning in the Maelstrom.
It's all about the gameplay. The lore reasons only get doctored up later.
Sargeras wasnt corrupted by the old gods. He went mad after seeing all the chaos that was happening all around him. I guess I learnt something new today too:
The nefarious, scheming dreadlords turned whole nations against one another by manipulating them into blind hatred and mistrust. Sargeras defeated the nathrezim easily, but their corruption affected him deeply.
Shaken by the evil of demons in general and the nathrezim in particular, Sargeras began to despair of his task and gradually slipped into a brooding depression. As doubt and despair overwhelmed Sargeras's senses, he lost all faith not only in his mission, but also in the titans' vision of an ordered universe. Eventually, he came to believe that the concept of order itself was folly, and that chaos and depravity were the only absolutes within the dark, lonely universe.
