Rbg rating question

Hey guys, maybe one of you could help me answer this,

Say if i got 2200 rating in rbg's, which allows me access to the elite gear, then i start doing rbg's with people who have low rating, would i loose rating if we loose a game? and if i do loose rating and it goes under 2200, would i not get access to elite gear anymore?

Yes, and the lower the rating of the group, the more rating you lose. You need a current CR of 2200 to buy the items, regardless of whether you've had that rating in the past.
