Wouldn't it be a funny/sad coincidence if the US Dollar finally collapsed on that date? The social unrest, rioting, looting, chaos, then the police/military state that would follow....maybe the UN would get involved. Perhaps China would buy the US...fun times....

No, they predicted the end of a cycle, and simply ran out of stone to keep carving. Plus THEIR calendar doesn't matches ours since theirs does not includes all the many february 29ths they've skipped in the last couple of thousand years.

All in all, on december 21, I'll just post this everywhere that mentioned that the world was gonna end:

Basically it is the type of reaction occurring for the whole process. Fusion ie thermo and Fission ie Atomic. Bombs dropped on Japan were Fission, later and much more powerful are fusion.
