    But which god would intervene? Since it is a misinterpreted Mayan prophecy, it must be one of their gods. Will Quetzalcoatl fly over Mexico, exclaiming "Foolish mortals, I saved your world again! Now give me all your souls as payment!"

    Apparently the end of the world has come a lot of times and will again come in 2020. This time however over a string of 17 years, so we can have this kind of topic for almost 6000 days on a daily base. But fret not...even if the world doesn't end in 2020-2037, the next date is in 2040.

    Since he is omniscent and omnipotend, he would know already that he will intervene (or not intervene). He can't even change his mind because an omniscent and omnipotend god would know that he would change his mind. That is how this "all powerful and all knowing" concept is so beautifully flawed and you can just abandon all the praying, all the churchgoing, all the worshipping.
