Question Help choosing a new GPU

Hello! I did recently send in my Asus GTX 670 DC11 Top because it was defected. They don't have it in stock and don't know when they're getting it either, so they asked me to choose a diffrent GPU. The price of the DC11Top was about 560$ (3899kr). I'm now intrested in the Windforce 3 670 or 680. I would need to add about 70$(500kr) for the 680, and if I choose the 670 I would instead get 70$ back. Is it worth the extra cash? I don't really see 70$ as a big expense. (Actully it's more of 140$ you ''loose'' if you choose the 680). Is the 680 worth the extra cash or should I stick with the 670?

    Thanks in advance!

It depends on how games are running for you, if you're satisfied with the FPS you're getting, stick with the 670. If you want a bit better performance, take the 680.

Definitely take the Gigabyte 670 and get $70 back. No way in heck is 680 worth the $140 additional cost, even in GPU-heavy games (BF3/Crysis 2) it is only ~5-6% faster than a 670 on average. The difference becomes even more irrelevant if you're running a typical 60hz 1080p monitor because beyond 60 fps (which a 670 can easily push) you won't see any changes.

If im not mistaken the gigabyte 670 also has the 680 pcb (the 3 fan design). So you should be able to OC it pretty well. So ye, stick with the 670

Ah ok, think I'll stick with the GTX 670 then. How ever, the site is http://www.dustinhome.se/. It's really only Gigabyte, EVGA and Asus.

Yep, that's the one I'm thinking of

Do anyone know how big diffrence there is in BF 3 / WoW, do the GTX 680 only provide like 5-10 more FPS or is it more than that? Havn't found any good Benchmarks

Even less, there's around a 3-5 FPS difference which is easily obtainable by slightly overclocking the 670.

    There's tons of benchmarks :P

    Here's one:

As for WoW, there will be almost no difference.
