That's cool
For now I mainly want to be able to understand it hehe, then speaking it can come later but right now I'd have no use for speaking it. But plenty for understanding!
Though they probably come kind of hand in hand partly, I've never learned a second language and people usually say they can understand it before speaking it properly
Korean is easier to learn than Japanese from what I understand. The alphabet for Korean is ridiculously easy to learn. Honestly Asme just sit down for an hour with the Korean letters and you'll have learned most of them, except maybe the complex vowels but the rest is easy.
Koreans are crazy. I don't understand them. Why don't they just merge their countries into one? That's what I would do. Silly Koreans.
Learning a second Asian language is easier than the first?
I can already see what's Hangul and what isn't, it's a start
The old Korean alphabet is kinda hard though, same with Japanese...
Tell that to The North
The complex vowels aren't too hard if you understand the basic ones. You just end up combining the sounds for the most part.

We actually had native Koreans as instructors xD
We had around a week or two to learn the alphabet and some vocabulary and then it was trial by fire.
