Not really. When you're playing a game for money, as a profession, you choose the game that's easiest to excel at, regardless of whether you like it or not. Ever had a job that you hated, but it paid well or the benefits were great, so you kept doing it? Yup.

Additionally, remember that pros aren't playing to have fun, they're playing to win money. You aren't going to be having all that much fun when you're playing forty and fifty practice matches a day on average - sure, maybe it's mildly entertaining, but fun? No.
