Destro and Dark Soul

So I'm wondering if you wanna get close to 4 embers, then burn Dark Soul and use all 4 embers on Chaos Bolt with a weaved in immolate/incinerate after each one, cause of the stupid DoT they applied.

OR.. Are we going to use it and just do our normal rotation?

I am by no means destro - master, but what Ive learned is you using in the opener, (You should be able to use 2 CB's during DS) but from there on, you try to get 3-4 CB's during it, while using it when U get Int procs. Int procs makes it dmg insanely higher, so delaying that 10-20 secs for a Int proc might be worth it.

With 4 pc, it gets worse doing this however.

With the 4set, it becomes more of a "use on cooldown" to generate as many embers as possible.

Chaosbolt should be cast either during Darksoul, or during int procs, or both.

Im sure you know, never let yourself get ember-capped. If you have a way to track your trinket/wep procs. Try not to fire off Chaos Bolts right away, but wait until you have enough time remaining to fire off all of your embers, the reason being is you might get another proc in the 15-20 sec most procs tend to last. If you can track internal cooldowns of trinkets, you will have a better understanding when to use Dark Soul.

Just got DMF trinket today, and trying to line up Chaos Bolts with that, but it's just plain out ANNOYING with the damn DoT that does NOT stack or anything :/
It's fine for PvP purpose etc, but at least let the DoT work like ignite, so can fire CB's back to back!

This maybe a stupid question but I would love some clarification on this, does DS increase both crit chance and crit dmg? If its only crit chance as the tooltip explains wouldnt it be a waste casting chaos bolt during DS at all? seeing as chaos bolt is 100% crit chance already. Thanks in advance just getting back into wow and missed alot of the stat changes.

Chaos bolt 'makes up' for its 100% crit chance by converting crit chance into damage for chaos bolt. So casting chaos bolt with dark soul up will increase its damage so its definitely not a waste. With chaos bolt as well its guaranteed cos its just a flat damage addition, compared to like incinerate spam where you may get piss unlucky with dark soul and crit barely more than usual.

Thanks that clears that right up, a supplementary question if I may, in regards to skull banner which reads "increases crit dmg by 50%" would it be beneficial to save your chaos bolt "weaving" for when this buff is up? I mean as you point out incin may not even crit at all during this buffs short duration making it completely non-benificial. I'm thinking of making a power aura for it. Cheers

Of course you have to monitor Skull Banners ! I have nice WeakAuras for that.
But it's only 20% crit dmg
