Gear is too easy to obtain as it is, the ENTIRE POINT of this game is character progression, so telling me i get to choose exactly what items i get every week thats 1 item per week that i get to decide what slot its for, means in less than 15 weeks my toon has gear for every single slot, so bam, im done with lfr forever, thats not even including Crafted gear, world drops, Heroic epics, running Normal/heroic raids, Valor gear, and so on, so all that included i would be willing to bet in 2 months i would be geared out from lfr completely, meaning i stop queuing, meaning queue times for new 90s increase and so on...

Not to mention it takes all the FUN out of getting loot, its not loot anymore its a gaurenteed specific item, you might as well just take all the stats away and say, ok week one you get a hat, week 2 a shoulder, in 10 weeks your toon looks nice yay! you are missing the point completely, this game is about the Random chance of winning something amazing, about killing that dragon and hoping against hope that those bracers with the +10 to dragonslaying are there, then going again next week cause they weren't, and you need it to get BIS.

the way the system works now you have a chance to get no loot at all, and at the same time a chance to not only get 1 item but 2 from every single boss you kill, on a string of AMAZING RNG you could get 26 pieces of loot in one week! how AWESOME would that be? when normally you might get 1 or 2 right now, my best week so far has been 7, but alot of that was sharded.

the whole "buying your gear" thing is just stupid to me, it takes the fun out of killing the boss, i mean with your system, why even have bosses at all, just make it so if you log into the game once a week for 15 weeks your BIS...
Rejoice, For very bad things are about to happen...

No I don't have time to do daily. I come home 11 ish. I do a LFR every day - 5 in total. 11 - 00-01.30 LFR is done. I have to wake up early for work.
The two days I'm off I have to go out, socialize is a part of my life aswell. I do arena. etc. So about 2 hours a day = 60 hours a month for WoW, when I could make about 20 dollars an hour of it. = 1200 dollars. I choose WoW before 1200 dollars just to do LFR and cap arena and have some fun time and you're talking about dedicating more time. Spending 60 hours a month for a hobby is more than usual. If you spend more than 60 hours on WoW a month that is too much. Of course I have sometimes off when I do absolutely what i love to do. old content, transmog. boost friends, meet new people, duel, bg, etc. But I don't have the time, so in reality i spend more than 70 hours on WoW. But it really depends. if 70 hours * 12 = 35 days a year spent on gaming is not enough and you call me minimal effort.. Then i don't know. up to you to decide. I don't want free loot. I just want at least loot and not a bag of 20ish gold.

I have a brilliant idea, remove gear and make it about skill and one difficulty mode. Those who don't get to experience it in game can watch youtube videos.

Rather spend that time doing something useful, some set goal (much like how these quests are being set up for doing the dailies for rewards), because after all that grinding the day the prize is available it was well worth the effort.

Too many times with all the commotion in raids I don't even realize something did drop to notice anyway.

Yes progression is a huge impact on the game. I get that, but this is LFR - Normal gear outperforms this in 10x. This is for the casuality. Well, call me a casual spending 60-70 hours a month on a video game.. yet I don't have enough time to play.

But the random chances are taking a huge impact aswell. The chance of not getting loot in 2 weeks in a row using 6 lucky coins is probably slim - something like in the numbers on 0.00xx. yet guess what? You've got me, zero loot. Is that fun? btw, i got this weeks loot. Guess what sha dropped for me buddy! PVP BRACAAAAAAAAH. Nice huh? No.. I have them. '

The system it is not you say I have a chance to get a loot. sadly I have a bigger chance to not get a single loot than getting any loots.

Why have the bosses? For the content. That's what it is about. But the loot should be a benefit. And it would take yes, 15 weeks to be decked out. But that's around 3 months. If there isn't new content by then, god be with us. In addition, I've got two alts at level 85. Who else? Exactly, chars be poppin in here and there. It's just frustrating after about over 100 bosses kill I've gotten 5 pieces. - Two helms I had better, 1 bracer I've already had. 1 neck that was beneficial for me - Guess what raid came up replaced it on the spot - 30-40 min I think it took for it to be replaced. and of coures.. 1 more item which i don't remember anymore, can't have been that useful if I've already forgotten..

Hey hey I understand. But let me break down this. Cause I go some weeks where I dont touch dailies.

full clear lfr and do 1 heroic a day thats 870 points a week. 130 left to cap. Now that is 3 more lfr passes or some scenarios or even some extra heroics.

But even not that thats still 1740 vp over 2 weeks which will get you a cheap piece or a good piece on the third week.

Yes but mate, I don't got the time for the reputation grind, so guess what I've got already 3k valor points. But what can I spend it on?

Upgrade the pieces you do have untill untill you can find the time to knock out 3 days worth of dailies.

Blizz doesn't make the game for casuals and they want to restrict how fast people get loot. If they sped up lfr loot there would be all the casuals fully lfr geared with no reason to play. And we know how blizz feels about that...

I hate the current Loot system for both LFR and Valor ... nothing but Asinine grinds for both of them that essentially leaves you drained and not wanting to even touch either after the first three or four weeks of Zip.

Why bother running them if you get zero progression and nothing but insulting whore bags .. the hassle is simply not worth the effort let alone the insult of a 28g turkey slap.

Ive had exactly 1 drop in 6 weeks of LFR and SHA ...I have zero reason to continue running either of them, even the abhorrent rep grinds look more exciting. (never thought I'd come to see my self say rep grind are more exciting)

Just because you came up with it (you actually didn't but ok), you don't get to call it brilliant.
It's actually a pretty boring idea, guaranteed loot is already in the game in the form of valour points, the other items are rng based, welcome to rpgs.

Look I can understand not wanting to do dailies every day but seriously if you are bitching and never ever wanting to do them or progress in normal modes only do lfr that is yout ENTIRE goal in this game.... Why in do you have to be constantly rewarded with gear

Going a few weeks with no loot reward sometimes happens in normal/heroic raids as well.
A bit of civility and respect for others opinions goes a long way toward getting any respect in return. Overly hostile, profane and insulting posts are a sign that people don't really have anything to say. Profanity is best served out in very small doses.

Well depends on the standpoint I presume I don't really see a problem either.
No offense but it sounds more like you are using your time not very efficiently if you really feel that there is no other way for you to get items besides lfr spending 60 hours per month on the game.

Don't agree. I know quite a lot of "casual" players that are quite happy. It merely depends on what kind of player you are.

RPG's have a guaranteed progression that doesn't take 6 weeks to obtain or 2 weeks to obtain 1 item by grinding boring content.

Simply put wow is not a RPG and hasn't been one for some time now, its nothing more than a glorified slot machine in some sleazy casino, likely run by Goblins.

True, but at the same time, RNG has its downside. You can go weeks without any drops and that gets disheartening. I'm also still leaning towards the feeling that Blizzard may have goofed just a little with the VP reward structure which seems to be placed right at the level where players simply don't care about it. Its a bonus but set so low and takes so long to cap out for many that its not really seen as a substitute for not getting your gear. You don't end up consoled that "at least I got VP". You end up frustrated because "I didn't get my gear and THAT'S all the VP I got?"

As I said, I'm starting to think that RNG has outlived its usefulness in certain aspects of the game.

Why do raiders have to be rewarded constantly with gear ...?

The situations are different but the reasons are the same.
