An Idea for Alts and PvP

So you're saying you got into RBG without having a minimum of 1.8k CR? :P I've never seen a pug looking for someone with lower rating than that.. And if I dont got that RBG rating, I would need like 2-2.2k arena rating to get it, it's sick :P

I got into RBG with 0 rating. I do have extensive PvP experience, which was the main reason i got my place.

I'm in the deep shit, because I only PvEed in Cata, and the start of MoP : / Now I figured I want to go back to PvP, and try out RBGs.. But that wasnt easy :P So far I've only managed to find arena teams for conq cap, and managed to make some stay and get to 1700 rating..
But as a "vanilla veteran", I would love to get into RBGs, because I've always loved BGs (Like now, got full holy and ret honor gear, working on upgrading my holy gear from honor, and I still enjoy spending most of my days in BGs with a friend or two and just bring havoc to the enemy).

But gonna start farming our ways up in rating, got 5 IRL friends and some guild/random pugs to join us :P Gonna take some time, but we'll get there I bet Hopefully I'll get some decent rating before next season atleast, so I wont start with the huge "handicap" again.

Make arenas award honor after reaching the cap. Not as much as a BG, maybe 100 for a win and 10 for a loss. Imagine grinding honor gear in a bot-free environment.... brb tweeting GC (without mentioning bots cause that's taboo).

I am absolutely against that, and i'm sure the majority would agree with that. MMOs are mainly successful due to that carrot-on-a-stick system, where you progressively get better and better gear. Take that away and what? Nobody gives a shit about battlegrounds anymore, since there's no incentive to go there, no incentive to try to get better ratings @ arena ( vanity items, really? ), since it's not that "fun".


And yeah, t2 weapons are an achievent by themselves, you are one of the best - hence you get the best loots, which makes you perform even better. If i'm a 2400 player i don't want bots to be able to have the same gear as me, with the difference of me having some super-flashy-lazor-flamethrowing shoulders which most likely look like shit anyway.

Funny how almost every 2.4k-Gladiator player thinks the exact opposite. And no, I didn't make that up, go read ArenaJunkies. PvP should be about skill, not gear and rewards should be visual.

how would one judge how late you came into the season though? does the counter start on all toons when a new season starts no matter the level or just when they hit 90?

I would say that there should be a season counter, and it would not matter if you just hit level cap or not.
