Need help with picking a computer

Okay I'll cut to the chase...I suck at picking out good computers and what not, especially gaming wise. You could say I'm not the most hardware savy. Anyways I'm looking to get a new and actually good gaming rig and I need help finding one. The max I'm willing to spend is 2k but even that is pushing it, I would be much more comfortable with something closer to 1000. I'm looking for something I can play new releases on with decent settings without low fps or lag.

(Ex- Skyrim with high graphics setting running smoothly with good fps, or The Witcher 2 or other nice looking games that I could potentially hit 60fps with)

But anyways that's my schpeel so if someone can help em out that would be awesome as I get kinda lost looking for stuff

also forgive me if this is in the wrong section.

If you have the money give 200 more, and get yourself a 256GB SSD, Samsung 830/840 Crucia M4, Vertex 4, whichever all the same and voila.

Maybe get a 600W PSU to be on the safe side, even with new technology, nvidia cards like to eat power at higher loads.

    I assume you're talking Canadian $?

If you're building it do you have any parts you can reuse?

Do you need an operating system?

drop the OS if you don't need it and still plenty of headroom to get a monitor or any other specifics you might want but overall this should work very well for your wishes (optionally you could get a zotac 670 AMP for i think $80 more if you want that last push in crispy high details for certain intense games)
