    Favorite soundtrack

What's your favorite OST from a game?

In my opinion, The Witcher 1 has the most epic soundtrack.

At the second place - World of Warcraft (I loved 'Come, my son' and 'Invincible)

And 3rd place - Skyrim that I didn't like at all - but the soundtrack is awesome.

Answers by Susan Calloway and Nobuo Uematsu used in Final Fantasy 14.
To experience the song to its fullest, its best to see it used in the trailer they used for closing down XIV 1.0

So many games have awesome soundtracks.

Hard to choose one, but I think it could be either Skyrim or Guild Wars 2 (Jeremy Soule's work) or Assassin's Creed 2 or Brotherhood (Jesper Kyd's work).

I love the Zelda OST (Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time especially) made by Koji Kondo.

Going through my iPod I have:

    Halo
    Zelda
    Mass Effect
    HoMM
    Morrowind
    WoW
    GW2
    Skyrim
    Tetris
and various soundtracks from other Nintendo games

I don't have a particular favourite game OST, heard far too many over far too many years. At the moment though, World Of Goo's soundtrack has been on my playlist repeatedly.

For me, nothing beats chrono trigger's and xenogears' soundtracks.

Of course lately I have found the bastion soundtrack on repeat.

I like gw2 soundtrack, but 2 that stand out for me are indie games: capsized and pineapple smash crew, they just have great music that really fits the game.

Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross will probably always be my favorite. Mega Man 2 has a pretty boss OST as well.

    Skyrim
    Guild wars 2
    Oblivion
    Morrowind

All Jeremy Soule's work. Best music guy out there in terms of game soundtracks. Beats all others in my opinion

I loved the music in FFVIII. Of course, I was far more emotionally immersed in that game than any other, ever, so the music may have just hit me harder than other games. So putting it aside, I guess next on my list would be, well, FFVII. What can I say, Square music is excellent.

Jeremy Soule, Jack Wall and Clint Mansell are my 3 favorite video game composers

And the Suicide Mission (Jack Wall) at the end of ME2 has always been my favorite:

In fact, Mass Effect has my favorite sound track of all time, I think it comprises at least 20 songs in my sound track playlist.

    Honorable Mention:

    Leaving Earth
    - Mass Effect 3 (this one almost made me cry the first time) - Clint Mansell
Halo 3 Warthog Run - Martin O'Donnel/Michael Salvatori
    Skyrim - Jeremy Soule

Oh and I feel like a dumbass because I completely forgot about DE:HR.

I absolutely love this song, second favorite aside from the ME2 soundtrack I posted earlier.

Hands down. Chrono Trigger for me. So many good memories and emotions for me with that game. Honestly it made a few traumatic years a lot better for me.

    Any MGS Harry Gregson-Williams trouches.
    Bastion
    Secret of Evermore
    Final Fantasy 6
    Skyrim
Most Silent Hill games I love

So far, the only game I can remember is Darksiders 1 OST. I love that game's OST, pretty damn good.

While I do love the scores of Mass Effect, Halo 4, Dragon Age, Guild Wars, and others with a score like that, my favorite soundtrack would either be NFS Hot Pursuit 3, Midnight Club 2, or Ridge Racer 64. Pretty much what got me into trance. Winner would be NFS Hot Pursuit 3, full of nostalgic tunes.
