    Virus help with facebook?

So I started chatting to someone last night on a facebook chat, I haven't spoken to the bloke for over 4 years, within 2 minutes of talking to him I get the following problems

Stupidly slow loading times on webpages
    Videos freezing,
    High wow latency
Normal wow latency but with huge lag
In the middle of typing and it stops, and delays 10 seconds or so before the words appear (happened while typing this line)
Music stops off itunes, or just keeps pausing and playing by it self
In the middle of scrolling down a page, scrolling
Just now, computer completely froze and crashed

It would be coincidence, but it seems a bit funny it happened within minutes of speaking to this bloke

Every time I keep trying to run a scan, it gets five minutes in, with 0 files scanned and the computer crash's

    any suggestions?

I don't think there's anyway he could have sent you a virus via Facebook chat without you agreeing to it (by downloading an attachment).

Indeed, he didn't send me attachments or files or links,

but in high sight of that, is there anything else I can besides trying to run a virus scan every 5 mins

Sounds to me like your primary hdd/ssd is failing or you already had the virus but it was setup to run after a set delay.
Most likely the first assuming you already ran virus/malware scans.

Weekly, as well as a live scan on continually
