Most dead servers on WoW?

I noticed that every server i used to play on in TBC is dead now. Except Silvermoon. :/

They don't even entertain the idea of server merges (which is strange that they did it for Taiwan region, several times)

Are paid transfers available in the Taiwan region? Also, I think I read that it wasn't Blizzard that runs the servers in Taiwan so whoever does might have been able to force the mergers - but that's a vague memory and could be totally wrong :/

The only downside to their strat is they have to offer free transfers a couple months later to move people off of high pop servers because the majority will move to high pop. This causes them to do the work twice instead of once.

I think there's precious little 'work' involved in a server transfer. And they might have to offer free transfers occasionally, but how many who take advantage of free transfers then pay to go back where they were when they miss their friends, queues disappear etc?

I do agree that Blizzard and any game company must want to avoid server mergers if at all possible, it's always taken as a terrible omen of how the game is doing, and Blizzard have a strong financial incentive not to deal with underpopulated and imbalanced servers.
