Brosnan is a good bond, shame all his movies sucked really.

He wasn't horrible. I'm not a fan of the movie, but as Bond he wasn't the worst.
I don't hate you. I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence.

Have there been other Iron Man movies with a different actor?

Definetly not.. As far as the worst goes.. Pierce might get my vote... but I may be just judging it on the movies.. there isn't a good Pierce Brosnan Bond film..

Would have to be a tie between Pierce & Daniel for me, probably Daniel.

I'll go with Sean Sonnery, with Pierce Brosnan on a close second. I'm still not a big fan of Daniel Craig as bond, he just doesn't have the charming personality or the humor previous Bond's had, he just looks like he wants to kill everyone around him all the time.

I have to say that my favourite Bond is Daniel Craig. Here's my list:
    1)Daniel Craig
    2)Pierce Brosnan
    3)Sean Connery
    4)all of the others...

I think Pierce could have been a great bond but they waited to long to cast him. If they had hired him before Dalton, I think Brosnan would have done better. Tastes were changing too much and by the time Remington Steele got 00'd? Bond needed a reboot anyway.

    Brosnan and Connery Imo.

Connery is the better actor imo but Brosnan makes the better bond.

Really, because I consider Goldeneye the best bond movie ever made, then again I was around 13yo when it was released and at that time I thought Famke Janssen was the sexiest women alive due to how she portrayed her role in that movie.
( even now I think she is better looking than Mila Kunis or Halle Berry by a longshot.)

Daniel Craig in my opinion. Haven't seen Skyfall yet, and I'm not that much of a real Bond fan, but I love his acting in general. But it's more of who they made Bond in the last movies. He's not the super sleek babemagnet with a gazillion gadgets who keeps his coolness. It's rather a person then a hero. I liked that approach in the last movies, and that's what makes Daniel Craig the better Bond imo.

Hands down Daniel Craig. No contest in my opinion as far as the title of the best ever goes.

Sean Connery is a classic in the truest sense but I feel he comes in second and rightly so. Craig has outdone him completely (EDIT: as far as their work with the Bond movies is concerned atleast, Connery however has made some great films outside of the Bond series which are pretty great too).

On the whole however I would say both have done a great job.

    The rest are just meh....

    My 2c atleast.

I agree with what you have said here.

I love the new more believable and human bond with his flaws and imperfections, and Craig is a great actor and quite simply the best guy around to be playing this new type of Bond in my opinion.

I love his work in the "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" remake as well, another masterpiece of a movie.

Connery, followed by Craig. Goldfinger and Casino Royale are probably my favourite Bond films. Brosnan wasn't a horrible Bond, but I think most of his films were. Goldeneye was the only one I liked.

That wasn't an easy decision for me, honestly.
I wish I could give out 3 number 1 spots....
It would go equally to Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Daniel Craig.
George Lazenby on the other hand..... Good to see that he doesn't have a single vote just yet.. The most horrible Bond EVER!

Why would I go with 3 #1 spots?

Connery is for once the best actor within the group of actors. He also defined the character at large. He set the bar at which every single successor gets measured up until today.

Roger Moore. No one comes anywhere close to the rather snobby British aristocrat feel, Moore gave the character. It's easy to buy into that kind of luxury elite spy..

Daniel Craig. He brings a whole new Bond into the picture. He still shows the famous attributes, but his character is more focused on the tough guy, than the loveable nuances.
It's more of a 21th century modern character. I love him as Bond.
However, one thing is missing for me in the Bond movies, for a while now.
Bond is cult... One thing was always the same with the Bond movies. They all opened with a big bang. Some weird crazy action scene, with some even funny twist in it.
I miss that, the subtle humor which was a big part of Bond movies. You will always find some great laughs in all older Bond. That part is really missing.
Bond was and should remain a persiflage to the crime action genre. Some hint of satire. That was what made Bond movies cult. And it falls short nowadays.

I think I understand what you are talking about. But I happen to disagree, I don't think that would fit well with the new Bond movies and personally I am kind of glad they went in this direction and quite happy with the cheesy (my opinion atleast) humor being cut out in favor of a more serious Bond.

This is of course just my personal opinion and taste ( one that I think a lot of people agree with too however ).

As they say though, different strokes for different folks. I get that you're a long time fan with his own preferences, which is fine. Just stating that I am really liking exactly how they're doing it right now.

    I certainly respect your opinion..
Just to the humor part, of course it often comes across cheesy, or weird, when it comes to humor from the past. Times change, and with the times the things people laugh about the most change too.
Often that gap just feels cheesy over time. If applied correctly however, it doesn't have to be cheesy.
Quentin Tarantino for example manages that perfectly in his movies. Subtle humor, barely noticeable. Not thrown like a brick into the face..

Connery hands down, although the new guy that's playing Bond does it well and so does Roger Moore.

The best James Bond would be Jason Statham.
Daniel Craig is probably the closest bond so far that gives me the impression that this is James Bond, badass secret spy. I haven't really read the books, but his character seems to be more distanced than the other actors who have played bond, always kind of felt like he was a skinny wimp who had cool gadgets and picked up babes and somehow saved the world.

You should check out Dalton's Bond movies then (or at least "The Living Daylights" since it's, IMO, one of the best Bond movies so far). He's basically the Bond described in the books: Dark haired, good looking, a charming misogynist, a ruthless killer and most importantly, unlike every other Bond before him, human. He's the perfect Bond. Unfortunately, he's very underrated and only stared in 2 movies so he's often overlooked when it comes to this discussion.

Statham completely lacks the elegance and charm needed for playing Bond. Highly overrated "actor".
