Thread: Micro SD card?

    Micro SD card?

I'm getting a Microsoft Surface RT tablet for Christmas and want to expand it's storage space with a 64gb microSDXC (is what it takes). Does it matter which brand I get? Do they have different benchmarks from each other like an SSD? Will it have SSD-like performance since they're both flash memory?

Class 10 is the fastest that are out in the market I believe. As fro the SSD performance I doubt you will get the same speeds.

Still cheapest I have seen: micro

speeds only matter for transfer of the innitial data set after that they are mostly on par. (speeds aren't anywhere near ssd speeds , my 32gb micro sd card is 15/20mb's tops.)

    ok, what about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220665

It has really nice read speeds "under UHS-1 mode environment", which the Surface RT supports. Is that a format system or something or is it just plug-and-play?

    conflicts with the tittle then
my tech database gives" Extern geheugen Secure Digital Micro eXtended Capacity" so you would need SDMXC.
so im leaning to right tittle but SDXC is non matching form factor from what i can tell.

Sorry I'm just going off of this which says

"The device also includes a microSDXC card slot that can be used to store up to 64 GB of additional content to your device."
