No but it's better than not being free almost every time. Freedom has a price, but it allows you to own yourself.

People have flourished the most when they have been the most free all throughout history.

How on earth is Ireland second?

I mean, it's not exactly North Korea, but I never pictured it as a bastion of freedom.

Iceland should be number 1. You can do whatever the fuck you want here. Period.

Just shows you how messed up the world is though. USA is still high despite the last 10 years' bad legislation like the Patriot Act, bank bailouts by the fed, and NDAA

No offense to Brits out there, but I cannot possibly imagine the UK being on 7th spot on this list, considering you jail people for saying offensive stuff. You can argue whether jailing for being offensive is right or wrong, but you can't possibly say it's very freedom-like.

And again, I'm having a hard time seeing the US as 8th place as well. I mean, homosexual marriage and abortion is illegal in some places in the US, how can that possibly not drag the US down by a margin?

I think he means that it's bad to be too free, because then people can say whatever they like and offend anyone without repurcussion, which some people see as a bad thing, or if we're going way extreme, having men marry younger children, that's another kind of freedom that isn't good at all.

Economic Freedom? Pretty sure that sets them apart, for good and bad.
The nerve is called the "nerve of awareness". You cant dissect it. Its a current that runs up the center of your spine. I dont know if any of you have sat down, crossed your legs, smoked DMT, and watch what happens... but what happens to me is this big thing goes RRRRRRRRRAAAAAWWW! up my spine and flashes in my brain... well apparently thats whats going to happen if I do this stuff...

hate to tell you, but the UK is anything but free - the amount of regulation in this country is such that any sense of true freedom is a long time forgotten about, the only freedom you have here is to bitch about it in your own home, even then with regulation of social networking they're slowly working on that too!

Awful economy, a country still split among itself as well.

That's not hard to do. the US and the UK have probably the most atrocious internet service on the planet, save for china.

And yes, before anyone asks, I'm pretty surprised that at least not one Nordic country made it into the list.
