This thread reminded me of this for some reason, http://www.darklegacycomics.com/355.html ... We are cruel and merciless killers!

I think you're forgetting we're in Pandaria, a land currently in turmoil with bad emotions and their incarnations. We're all struggling with fear, doubt, anger and all those bad emotions that turn the best of men into a killer. That's why we're kind of being cruel, I think Blizz is doing this on purpose as it fits rather well with how things are. Our heroes are still that, heroes fighting for their lives and of those they love. Once we defeat all of these bad emotions we will once again let bad guys live just so they can come back to haunt us once more.

It's creepy and disturbing.
The game is comprised of lore, which our characters are apart of as the generic "hero" person. It's not disturbing to read into the nuances of character development as the game goes on. Video games tell a story just like a book or a movie or even a play and you are the main character. Yes, you have no affect on the character development because if everyone could choose what they wanted to do nothing would ever get done and the game wouldn't even be released with all the alternate endings and effects. The point the OP is trying to make is that Blizzard is creating lore that may change us, as the "heroes."

I don't think lei shi dies though. she's a spirit, you know. I believe she uses her spirit power to summon that beam of light we use on sha of fear, but that drains too much power, so she won't be able to manifest herself in the physical plane for a while.

I put this in the /facepalm part and 2 explain why your points make no sense.

First the the others guy that were Mind controlled, please remember we met them before the mind control so we knew there true alliegance.

Second we are being asked by the most loyal and trusted council too kill there queen. The klaxxi are basicly the last word and brain of the mantids. If they all decide on something it should happen and all mantids accept that.

Third: while we learn that there was sha influence pretty early on. She stil accepted it and was not forced. If she tried to fight against the sha corrupting powers the Klaxxi were going for the Rescue the queen. But no. This was her choice in the end.

and thats a fact that is true mister Checking facts. The moment we basicly defeat the sha and we cleansed the Spring is the moment lei shi can regenerate again.

I don't know...I don't care much for the Empress then I did for Keristrasza, you actually meet her during your adventure and fight alongside her. Now, that I found sad when she died. Also who can forget Old Blanche? I don't care much for bugs like creatures either way...

Lei Shi doesnt really die. In one of the GL daily quests, and in a quest chain in the Panda starting zone, the quest givers say something like the spirits are part of pandaria, so they never really "die", they just become part of nature and can be "born again" in a physical form.

@OP nice find. Indeed it seems as though the Sha 's powers are somewhat getting a hold on us too, making us ruthless. Would fit in with the story I guess, had not thought about it that way.

To be fair, the Klaxxi make it very clear that she needs to die for their racial "genesis" to get back on track. Cleaning the gene pool of her widespread corruption and all that.

Deposing unfit rulers is just how their culture goes, and bringing about the borderline-doom of the entire mantid swarm has more or less qualified her as "unfit."

The mantid elders would kill her anyway.

The excuse that the mantids would have killed her anyway doesn't mean that we have to kill her ourselves. By that logic: everyone is going to die anyway, so we might as well go on a murder spree. There is such a thing as due process.

Aye, we should've left her to the Klaxxi, like we left Hogger to Stormwind law in Cataclysm. We aren't fighting alongside with the mantids, they'll turn on us and serve the Old Gods if they have to. We're fighting a war that isn't ours, maybe just to kill some more.
