how long does it take to get into full pvp blues?

hey guys as the title suggests, how long does it take to get into full pvp blues, i just did about 3 BGs as a warrior in full LFR/VP Gear and it seemed alright damage wise, and i wasn't getting the nuts knocked out of me, but to get a full set of pvp gear how long would it take doing BG after BG roughly to get into a full set? i decided to do some BGs due to not having so much content in PvE so after VP Cap and LFR each week i guess i could get some PvP done
    Thanks WoW6000

Shouldn't take longer then a few days

If you're doing nothing but PvP for a time? Not that long. At some days I cap honor several times when I'm not doing anything but PvP.

    Few days.

Takes less if you combine crafted + conquest though

I play very casually and it took me just over a week after dinging.

This is why WoW is now terribad. Little work with big rewards.

It took a few days for me to get full blues all 1/1 upgraded, it was AV call to arms but we lost 90% of them.

2 days tops for a mage. also TB > any bg unless you run as group, you can get up to 1k with the quest, 400-600 per win.

Took me 2 days as an Elemental shaman
    3 as a Prot pally!

depends on how well your faction is doing. i don't know what it was but for some reason the horde seemed to be particularly bad at the start of the expansion. i won about 60% of my bgs before MoP...after MoP it seems to be closer to 30-40%. I play rogue though so my teams are always slightly gimped for having me around now. still shouldn't take you more than a week if you play on a regular basis.

also depends on your server. if you win tol'barad/Wintergrasp regularly there's a ton of honor there.

Uh what...? I mean it's one thing if you dont WANT to do the PvE content but to say there isen't much PvE content is just absurd.... rep's/dailies, LFR, scenarios, dungeons, raids, pet battles, brawlers guild, challenge modes. Then you can farm mounts/rares/pets/unique items, transmog runs etc. If you play a couple hours a day you should get a set in a ~week.

Because the Honor gear treadmill has such a massive impact on end-game PvP, right?

I'd rather they just gave you honor gear straight away. It's just such a ballache gearing up a new character between all of the wannabe glads storming BGs in their "hard earned" Honor/Conquest items (which they get from queuing 2v2 at 1200 rating most of the time) and bot-infested games. Now if they were giving Elite Conquest items out at 1000 rating or something, I could see you having a point...

if you play all day during a BG weekend, and win most of the time in a quick or very rewarding game (like 3 caping eots or good 10min AV's) then you'll have all 16 slots filled by sunday if you start in friday afternoon .

The blue pvp gear is designed to be basically the universal standard to get people into pvp, it's Not a big reward - the conquest gear takes many months of consistent point farming to get all of - that's your reward system.

I miss two epic pieces then I'm done and I have spent points to upgrade my weapon and offhand already. Doesn't take that long either. You can get 2,2k without any kind of rating each week.

Took me around 2 weeks after I dinged. I can't do more than 2 randoms if I lose with bots (130 honor).

Because running bg's with bots and constantly losing is "little work". It's a nightmare.

Getting PvP gear fast is a good thing. PvP should be more about skill than gear tbh.

Exactly...wish more people understood this. This new system also makes it harder to gear up alts.

MoP was released on the 25th of September, it is now the 10th of December, the months in question have already occurred ;p
