Let's see:
-flying mounts: flying paths are ok, why not use them instead?
-useless stuff such as pet battles: some like them, some don't. I think the addition of it was a bad idea. I still don't get why would a motherfucking warrior would get his *cute* pet to battle a priest's pet. 0 logic in it. Next time they'll invent in-game consoles we'll have to pay IRL for.
I hope Titan's lore will be at least as interesting as the one in World of Warcraft (well, pre CATA. ) , and they'll make a good and comptetitive PvP system.
until what Titan is, there is no way to suggest what features to keep / remove from other games.
That being said zero loading screens once you have initially loaded is a major consideration.
I just hope for Titan, they don't use the same game developers and such that they used for D3.
when all else fails, read the STICKIES.
Titan is a completely different game, most likely not even a RPG so all this talk about LFG etc. is probably useless.
An essential structure of class design that with additions like patches and expansion will still be easy to balance. This is currently not possible in WoW as the game has been out for so long, you can't really change the core mechanics of the existing classes.
Take Mages as an example. Ice Block and Polymorph can sometimes be really stupid. One ability makes you immune to everything. What's the point in that? The class obviously lacks something and this was an easy solution. Polymorph has no CD so you will definitely spam it and eventually people will sit full durations. But how are they supposed to fix this? Giving them more roots and removing Ice Block? No, people would never have fun fighting Mages and this would just make it boring for everyone. I mean you can't change things like this now. But if they make it right from the start they might turn the game into an Esport if they want to.
PS: Not trying to bash Mages, every class has some stupid stuff, just took them as an example.

Assumptions & suggestions. That's all.
I'd go with the following:
Keep:
LFD/LFR - Both of these features allow even the most casual players to witness the full scope of the game's story, as well as ease them into raiding. This is a good thing, greater difficulty for greater rewards can be kept in the realm of premades.
Don't keep:
Strict two faction setup - Depending on how PvP oriented the game is, better alternatives would be a 3-faction system or a 1-faction system. 2 factions has a tendency to become lopsided over time, while 3 factions can self balance by having the smaller two factions gang up on the larger one. If the focus of the game is on a threat that goes far beyond the scope of the playable faction(s), then having multiple factions stab each other in the back while the fate of the world hangs in the balance is...stupid.
Remember the lessons of the past, but do not become lost in nostalgia. Seize the moment whenever possible, but not when it could do you great harm down the road. And look to the future as far as you can, but do not become complacent waiting for a brighter future to come to you. For the past, present, and future all have their place in the human psyche, and to see one as superior to the others is the most grievous error a person can make in life.
I just hope they bring back a feeling of accomplishment by not handing out epic gear like candy.
Because of how ilevels work, at least since Cataclysm, the difference between an epic item, an uncommon item, and a rare item is literally just the coloring of the name. If the game does include item qualities at all, I could live with rejiggering the formula on what constitutes epic (or whatever the game's equivalent of epic) gear. But I certianly don't want to go back to a system where it's incredibly difficult for anyone who can't raid with a regular group to obtain even passable endgame gear.

Flying mounts are questionable. Remove group finding tools and you kill the game. Love it or hate it, it is a necessity.
A ridiculous notion. LFR provides an essential progression path for players who don't engage in hardcore raiding.....i.e the vast majority of the player base. Gear and rewards are essential.

Arrogant much? If dying and even normal wear and tear in this LFR of yours doesn't cause duraloss sure. If it does, gold is fair compensation at the very least.Remove welfare epics and such, from things like LFR. Have fun experiencing the dungeon but you dont deserve even gold from it.
Current item design we are used to might be gone tho, items that give a bit more stats are not really exciting. Same goes for gear resets every few months. But I certianly don't want to go back to a system where it's incredibly difficult for anyone who can't raid with a regular group to obtain even passable endgame gear.

Arguing with a troll is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter what you do or say, he will just knock over the pieces, take a shit on the board and strut around like he won the whole damn thing.
Hmmm... well, I don't know because WE DON'T KNOW WHAT GENRE WILL TITAN BE!
If it would be a MMOFPS, the group finder tools would be not only needed, but required 100% for example.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.
Be sure it will be this way.
All those idiots who want single server play, no LFG tools etc were responsible for the failures of all those previous WoW killers.
----LESSON 1----
When you make an ON LINE game ... ALL you need is players, players ... and players in EVERY zone, EVERY content and EVERY inch of your gaming offer.
---LESSON 2----
Second condition will be indeed the same kind of open seamless world play like in Azeroth, like the OP mentioned.
GW2 is a JOKE with its 3 million loading screens, closed zones and lack of fast travels unless you want to see jumping through loading screens as immersive.
And to all those lying about 5 seconds hic ups when crossing cross server world zones: buy a computer instead of a 6 year old typing machine. I don't have these problems, so buy a better client for a 2013 MMORPG.
