    Nature and nurture baby.
Nurture is not generally a choice either.

Does it matter when people think being gay is wrong? People have their reasons for finding it wrong as people have their reasons for finding it right
People don't get to decide what another person needs to find right or wrong
why the f*ck should you or anyone else care what another person thinks?

No i don't because they try and find cures to become normal. Cerebal paulsy, parkinsons, als, MS, Lupis, and the list goes on. We are trying to find cures to make them fit in. We try and find cures for mental illness as well. What makes being gay any difernt than being bipolar? We try and find cures for bipolar people why not the gay disease. Because you want it to be pk cause people like it.

Now, if he were to act on these claims that would be a problem we'd have to respond to harshly.
To declare that a personal, inner experience gives certainty about the workings of the universe is to assign far too much value to one’s subjective sense of conviction.
    I’m not that arrogant.

The brain, marvelous instrument though it is, isn’t infallible. It can misfire, seize or hallucinate, and it can do so in a way that’s utterly indistinguishable from reality to the person experiencing it.

It's the church's decision. I don't understand how some of you fail to grasp that. If they don't want to marry same sex couples, they don't have to, and there's NOTHING wrong with that. You can throw the term bigot around for anyone who disagrees with you on anything all you want, but it doesn't make you right. Face it, not everyone thinks it's normal, and you can't force them to change their minds.

I genuinely don't pay attention to anyone who claims to be religious. You've got to be a fool to even believe that hypocritical nonsense.
How can you mention HATE and Tolerance in the same sentence? Religions create war and human suffering. Whether it was the Crusaders or modern Day Fanatics, all they don't hold human life in high regard. Also it is not religion that hates it is the people following that particular belief who open their souls up to hate.

Because if people spout stupid or ridiculous claims, calling people out on them is perfectly acceptable. No one is denying a person's right to hold a particular view. But the right to hold a view does not mean you should suddenly be immune to criticism or feedback on that view.

Because it's obviously affecting their rights. Pretty sophomoric attitude - 'why should i care what other people think?' Try functioning in the real world, man. We will eagerly await your report from your expedition there.

I do believe that was the very point Hyve was attempting to make... but yeah I'm sure we both agree with you.

Of course its the churches decision and rightly so. The bigotry labels being used are for the ignorant claims that people choose to be gay, they are broken or that its a disease.

To be clear, the article the OP posted isn't infringing on anyone's rights. Individual churches or church organizations are under no obligation to marry anyone they don't want to.

Now, the government is in a different business entirely. It is mandated to serve all people and collects revenue from all people. It's not really in a position to discriminate.
