    Appraisal i5 3570k

Looking for an estimated value on an i5 3570k, was lucky enough to be able to replace it with an i7 3770k through a program at work and therefore don't have a use for the chip. Would still be under a microcenter extended warranty, and have original box/fan that was never used with paste still on the heat sink.

I wouldnt buy a used processor for anything over half original price at best considering I have no idea what kind of clocks and voltages could have been used on it, or how well of cooling was used at those clocks.

    typo i guess? (i think you are talking about a i7 3770k?)
also trading is also common on hardware forums, perhaps trade it for something else you need?

Just because you TELL someone that's what you did, doesn't mean they have any reason to believe you, even if you said it in person.

Why do you feel the need to get rid of it, anyways?

Cuz he has a 3770K so his original 3570K is worth nothing to him?

Exactly, why on earth would I keep it? I can post some pics/CPUz info for what its worth /shrug trying to find out if this microcenter warranty is transferable though, assuming its not I'd give a 30 days no questions asked return policy on it, shipping paid by you.

Gonna go check when my 2 year expires, I'll just say I'll cover it up to two weeks before it ends (so I have time to get it mailed to me, and deal with them).

    Warranty expires 05/01/14

Sorry, my own mistake. When you get to such absurd post-counts as mine, it becomes painful to fully read some posts, even when they're so small. I just saw wanting to sell the i5 and then saw the i7 listed and just thought you felt the need to upgrade. XD

My mistake entirely! Sounds like a nice program though!

To be fair, a lot of people don't live close to a Micro Center and I am pretty sure the special CPU prices are in-store only.

Wow I didn't think it would be worth that much - if anyone of the mmoc team wants it I'd rather give it to yall then some random - and I'd actually give it at a fair price too, let me know if there are any questions and if you'd want me to post it on ebay or however you'd like to handle the transaction - I could kinda care less how we do it = \
