I'm frantically trying to catch up to the rest of the raid who this week is progressing on heroic Empress Shek'zeer. And here I am, in some dungeon blues and LFR pieces.
To be completely honest I don't think I will be able to do any progression raiding this tier. My current goal is getting carried through everything so I can at least do something on my new character in tier 15 =/
Calling it now, tier 15 favors melee by a long shot and I will regret going ranged.
How can u say t15 will favor melee? I only have 1 normal kill this tier and i'm getting very tired of sitting in shrine of two moons waiting for lfr access to pop up, thinking about following your way and switching to ranged...
Oh that was more or less meant in an ironic way. Don't take it as a fact, I was joking around.
I can't make that choice for you but you know what route I chose. I have played melee exclusively since mid Wrath till now, and I accepted the pros and cons that came with it. But tier 14 is absolutely preposterous. We had to sit out half our raid team and get some casual players who hardly ever stepped into a raid just because we needed ranged. It's Blackhorn heroic all over again.
Just bear in mind, which I said in my previous post as well, depending on your guild and type of raiding they do you might not get in shape or catch up to them if you reroll. The guild I'm in has a full 40-orso man roster in full heroic gear bar a few pieces with the legendary gem and several weeks of valor used to upgrade gear. I've already accepted I won't be able to reach that before they are done with all the progress this tier.
Aaaanyway I'll drop this subject now. I've whined too much about my own personal things.
Besides this huge and impressive list, in Mists the old "Rogues are the best designed class" statement has simply become blatantly false.
We are stuck with a Vanilla design that has no place in 5.1 World of Warcraft. Mists was a good occasion to revamp our class Warlock-style, and they instead pretty much ignored it.
Unless we get a total revamp (unlikely mid-expansion), tweaking numbers will only make our numbers in Recount more in line with other classes, but won't address the deeper issues that make our class not fun to play.
