These are both excellent points; we typically look at abilities in a patchwerk vacuum rather than in application. To be honest, the undead racial's been giving me almost nothing worth mentioning in healing, and it'll fall behind in scaling with time, but the troll racial (and the orc racial) have situational applications (mini-burst on demand) and side-benefits (expertise) at certain times. That's a sketchy way to phrase it, but we don't play patchwerk without multiple tiers.

If you're looking for the top race for THIS tier for DPS without any other considerations, you'd still have to mention spec/weapon options to get a full view of what you gain. Troll will scale the best going forward, agility always gains value as all stats and DPS go up (a small amount), expertise can (approximately) always be reforged into extra stats, and the undead racial adds minute healing, if you need that tiny edge. If you're picking for the entire tier, troll is the one with the best scaling, but outside fist/fist builds and "beast" fights, if you're willing to pay to be at the top each tier, sim yourself and your projected gear progression for your rate of progress.

Either way, the race you choose has a very very very minor impact on your output (much smaller than say choosing the correct spec for a fight, or having the right kinds of weapons).

Just because T14 has an abundance of fist weapons doesn't mean T15 isn't going to hand horde combat rogues maces.
