What the Hell is going on with Macros in this game?

Hi again, srsly I am watching videos and stuff with ppl having 1-2 macros and do like billion spells that are suppose to be builders or finishers at the same time.

I would like to ask for 2 things : 1st) where i can find a decent macro guide to go deeper into Rifts macros?

any usefull macros that u may have? Please im totally confused about this "supermacrosfailures"

Please check the macro section in this post for a detailed explanation on how they work in SL. the days of 1-2 macros have been broken since september/October and even if you did play that way back then, you would be gimping yourself DPS wise. http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...-Guide-to-Rift

I can only presume that most of the video's you have been watching are fairly outdated as in over 2 months ago when the massive class overhauls arrived with 1.11, most '2 button' specs were broken and macro's. but yea as listed above the tempest spec has around 5 macro's along with additional abilities such as cooldowns ^^

Seatin hit the nail on the head; you are watching old videos. A lot of super long macros are now broken or impossible for many souls.

Also do note that even under the old system there was only a handful of spec that could get away with 1 or 2 macros with like 10 spells in them. And it was mostly cleric bullshit.

Macroing that many spells has never been effective during edge of content gameplay in Rift. Could a casual do it and be okay? Sure. But one can also throw together Paragon/Beast Master/Reaver and be "okay" in casual play environments.

suppressmacrofailures, stops the macro spamming chat with things like that spell is not ready yet etc...

I never really used macros in-game, to be honest. I have it all programmed on my keyboard.
