Were using the tactic where we burst the boss during amber scalpel to between 45-38% without lust depending on which tank gets reshaped last(skull banner or without). Everything is nice and smooth except the last phase. Basically were having problems with the amber globules because once they start changing targets it seems impossible to track who they are following and whatnot. I know there's alot of guilds using this exact same tactic but we just can't survive the globules? Any tips how to handle them? We've tried fusing them together but sometimes it fails and we end up wiping in the first globules. So I rather kite them away as far as possible but once they get back to the raid it's always a wipe and it's pretty damn annoying. :/
2 tanks 3 healers 5 dps
-Tanks eat one pool each in p1.
-Have tanks keep up the debuff throughout p1 and the transition into p2 of course.
-Hold dps on boss at 75-80% and push him into p2 as the 4th reshape life goes off. This reshaped tank will stay a construct until you loot.
-The permanent monstrosity now just runs between boss and Giant amber and cycles the debuff. Of course he interrupts himself when neeeded and drinks pools as appropriate. He never worries about interrupting Giant Amber.
-The first Amber scalpel in p2 is the hardest part to heal with this strat. Lots of respawning ambers and new ones coming. Use some raid CDs for sure.
-For fling we usually have ret taunt and run away or get gripped. But if it is on a ranged then the tank can taunt middair and get it back.
-Reshape is timed 5-10s before Giant Amber explodes the first 2 times it will happen in p2. This means that the newly reshaped life person runs straight to the Giant amber and gets rdy to interrupt. Then drinks no pools just spams the debuff onto Giant amber until they can exit. Do so.
-The 3rd explosion comes almost at the same time as the 3rd reshape. You have 4 options here
1. Lust inbetween 2nd and 3rd reshapes and hope to kill him before the 3rd is cast.
2. Gather close to Giant amber as it is about to go off, hopefully get the interrupt as the new reshape wont have to run much to be in melee range.
3. All gather up and use massive raid CDs to survive it.
4. Allow the tank to stop stacking on Giant amber and concentrate on getting the interrupt while keeping the boss debuffed.
-When you are geared you wont even get a 3rd explosion without lust.
-P3 lust if you still have it of course, collide the first 2 baubles and he should die before the next set are relevant.
Hope this helps.
Here is a neat strat for you to try, and what my guild does:
Phase 1: 8 Reshapes, stack boss to 75-80 stacks, burn to sub 1% during the 8th scalpel/reshape.
Phase 2: let stacks fall off boss because you do not need them. This allows you to stack up stacks very fast on the construct and nuke him down
Phase 3: doesnt exist.
We leave up 8 pools during p1. Each shaped person eats 3 of the 4 pools.

When you do the burn tactics on phase 1 what do you for phase 2? Do you still have a permanent construct or do you just nuke people out and interrupt the monstrosity like on normal? We are going to have some attempts on the boss and feel the phase 1 amber scalpel strategy offers the best chance of a kill for our group.
nuke the 7th reshape down to 30% asap, and nuke boss on that scalpel coming (I gues its the 8th scalpel), get him <30%.
leave the 8th reshaped in for the rest of the fight, he can stack on monstrosity. (take 4 pools into phase2 with u, 6th reshape leaves 1, 7th reshape leaves 3)
have a clear CD rotation goin for whatever dps are goin to taunt fling so theres no risk of them dieing (u get about 4-5 flings, we had warrior shieldwall, warrior parry 100%, warrior pain supression, druid might of ursoc/barskin/40% etc)
If u can nuke him <30% in phase1 on the 8th scalpel, ur good for a kill
Not sure if anyone has said the tactic we do (TL;DR), but this is what we do:
Stack boss as much as we can in P1 over 4 transforms. When he gets to 71% and casts his next scalpel / transform life (still on a tank) we nuke him around 60% health. Iirc we eat all the pools in the first and second scalpel and leave 2 up in 3rd and 4th.
We keep a tank in the monstrosity throughout P2, and he does the following rotation throughout:
1 stack on boss, 1 stack on monstrosity, 1 stack on boss, 1 stack on monstrosity - Repeat.
Anyone else that gets transformed in P2 are broken out asap and stack on the monstrosity. After the first person is broken out, we pop bloodlust and nuke the monstrosity. When the second dps/healer is broken out the monstrosity is on about 10% health with 10+ stacks (so it drops instantly).
You'll transition into P3 with about 40-50 stacks on the boss.
Essentially the tactic revolves around the tanks being able to alternate stacks between the two targets, but this is how we kill it each week since we first progressed on it.
Hope it helps.
