If you trade the item you will not get the FoS. I tried it with my friend in Sunwell when the bow dropped.

I'm fairly sure that it remains tradeable to the eligible players throughout the 2-hr trade window, even if equipped, so long as it's not an item that is gemmed/enchanted in some way. However, I don't want to be wrong and give you bad advice so this is just a guess. :P
