So I'm leveling my shaman finally who's been lvl 60 for years and is currently 85. I grew tired of wow over the years and have always been interested in un-conventional talent/skill specializations. I play this game casually now and I'm not worried about top gear, top rating, top anything really....just personal enjoyment through my experiences.
So I was looking at skills for enh. shamans with glyphs and talents, and I have this idea of a really fun spec to play in random BG's: Enhancement shaman with a 1h and tank shield (unless caster shield is better?) glyph of frost shock (-2 second cooldown) and either using windfury or the frost elemental enchant on my main hand. Using talents/glyphs like the Maelstrom 5-stack causing next spell instant and increase healing, 10% damage reduction after lightning shield procs, etc. My vision is a "support" type character running around, freezing people in place with high mobility and high crowd control with snares and slows. Also providing buffs like the baked-in attack speed buff etc, and spot healing. I picture myself running around with a highly geared melee player and allowing that player to just stick to their target while I help keep them and myself up with spot heals. Is any part of my vision plausable?
I love league of legends and that style of game play, but I've always liked the openness and point of view of world of warcraft. I kind of picture myself like a support Taric running around....not causing much damage, not causing much healing, not causing much tanking, but bringing all that and more utility to the table. Again, I'm not trying to get any kind of rating in arena or anything. (Maybe this could be likened unto a Shockadin, or DPS disc priest?). Would you ever want a player like this on your team?
