I think the reason alot of people think this move is stupid is because the parents should activate the parental controls to prevent their kids from accessing porn. Also the whole idea of the awkward conversation to have the parental control removed. Its simply a case of lazy parents wanting the government to do their parenting with the other90% of the time they no doubt complain about the government interfering with their life

I don't think anyone realizes that most teenagers aren't retarded and can tell if tell if its a dns block, mac address filtering, internal ip that is being used to determine what machine should be filtered.

Also beyond that even if it is impossible change your internal ip for some reason (or just disable the filter at the router level, if thats being used) then you could always use a mirror or cached version of the site to get around or even just the IP if its a dns block.

31.192.117.132 is the ip for pornhub for example. Took me 8 seconds to get that.
