Need a little help in buying a new laptop to run wow..

So what kind of laptop can i buy within the 500 price range that will run it on say, medium graphics settings?

low to medium settings yes high to ultra settings not a chance.

Wow has become more taxing on cpu's over the years so that small one there will not be able to push the settings up. and the mobile 7670 amd is not really what one would call great. People have reported they can't even play wow fluently on low to medium settings with it.


For comparison sake. I have a older lappy next to me.
It can with the following modules run on fair settings with an average 35-45 fps

• 2.53ghz i5 quad-core
• Radeon 5650m
• 4gb ram

Just to clarify grafical setting go like this low<Fair<Good<High<Ultra but ultra will not bring everything to max so by customizing the last bit you will get max.

I would recommend getting a i5 2.8ghz or above + a 7780m radeon or above if you want to be on at least high settings

Original laptop 7670M, newer linked laptop 7640G graphics. Notebookcheck.com says the 7670M is better.
