    DBAN and my external HD

I wiped both of my hard drives with DBAN. Reinstalled windows(windows Xp, yes its an old PC) It also deleted everything off of my external HD. Got all of my driver and everything up to date but now my external doesn't work. I plugged it in and it doesn't show up at all in my computer. So I guess it deleted EVERYTHING off of it too. Been searching google for the past hour trying to find a solution. Maybe im missing a driver? or its missing w/e makes it work when its plugged in/ Im very novice with these things. Its a seagate freeagent go 320gb hard drive.
Basically the plug and play doesnt work with it.

    You could try this

    Right click My Computer
    Click on manage
Look at the left list, click on Device Management

Go to your External hardrive section, right-click on it then do 2 steps:
1/ Choose Mark partition as Active.
2/ Change the drive name, this is the must thing we have to do, you follow the next instruction and your HDD shows up again.

Also make sure you have the drivers installed for your USB ports
