    [10-man Normal] Amber-Shaper Un'Sok Help

Hey guys...need some help/advice/tips on Amber-Shaper. Today was our first day trying this boss. Here is our logs...http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/r...pes&boss=63666

We 3 heal it because of the RNG factor involved as we struggle on heals if we 2 heal and one of the healers gets transformed. It looks like our biggest problem was the interrupts and what not but that should be better with more practice. We were really just letting everyone feel out what each button did and when they needed to hit it. With more practice I am sure we will be doing that just fine. Do you have have any advice or pointers?

There's a way where you Zerg the boss. In p1 you need a lot of puddles like lots while stacking the debuff on the boss in p2 you stack the debuff on the boss not the yellow guy and just Zerg him down.

Occasionally solo healing for less than a minute should not be a problem. I'd 2 heal—it makes the fight as a whole easier. If your healers really can't handle it, then 3 heal and prepare to get stomped on Empress.

The strat we used for normal was keeping the first transformed DPS in the construct the entire fight. You can also run 3 tanks and have the tank on the last transform before p2 stay forever. Nobody except the person transformed forever eats pools. The person staying in needs to watch the timer for the Monstrosity's Explosion and put a stack on at 7-10s, then hold til cast and interrupt, then stack again. Anyone else transformed, just throw some stacks out, keep themselves interrupted, and break them out before they die.

We didn't do any fancy stacking for normal mode—it's unnecessary; just stack boss in p1, Monstrosity in p2, boss in p3.

Don't bother with the guy above (@Shinji, not Squirl), he's refering to the normal strat for heroic (the zerg strat is different) which gives your players unnecessary responsibility. I don't have time to go through the logs but I can give you a few pointers. Since you made it to amber-shaper you have the dps and healing requirement to bring him down, the fight basically just comes down to individual execution assuming that you have the correct strat down. I'll go through the (imo) easiest way to deal with the fight on normal, if that corresponds with your tactic your raiders basically just need to shape up (this is quite frankly the only normal fight in the tier that puts a heavy responsibility on random dps players, when they usually can get away with being inferior).

Personally I'd be using two healers, if you are unlucky enough to get a healer trapped in p2 your other healer should easily be able to manage on his own until he's broken out (assuming that you don't get extra explosions), hell a good healer could probably soloheal the entire fight. P1: Don't rush to get him out of p1, you could even keep him here for a while to get extra pools (shouldn't be necessary, but doesn't hurt). Just kill the adds when they show up, make sure to get people out of constructs before they need to drink pools (if you can manage this easily with 5 dps, feel free to use 3 healers) and just take your time to get into p2 with everyone at full mana/hp and some amber pools out. Constructs should basically just spam 1 on the boss, 2 to interrupt their casts and 4 to break out before they willpower runs out (they should be below 20% at this point). Make sure that they right-click the boss as well, this is a lot of extra damage.

P2. Mostly the same deal, depending on the timers you might need to have the guy in the construct eat one pool to stay in and interrupt the amber monstrity explosion. Apart from that the constructs basically have the same job as p1 apart from the fact that they target the monsterity instead, and gotta make sure to keep 1 off cd when the explosion is coming up. If people screw up a bit here your healers should still be able to manage as long as several explosions aren't coming out at once or someone is solohealing atm. If people are executing this phase correctly it's not stressful at all, just take your time and keep killing constructs>adds>the monsterity.

P3. You should have plenty of amber pools from p1 & p2, just burn the boss and ignore everything else. The guys in the constructs should just keep spamming 1 on the boss (and make damn sure that they right-click him) & interrupt their casts with 2. If they run low on willpower just have them run and get a pool, if they run out of pools (shouldn't happen) they'll simply die. On your first kill most of your players will be turned into constructs and you might have a few dead but the last part of p3 goes by really quickly once the debuff stacks, use bloodlust here ofc.

If your individual dps really can't handle this the tactic Squirl mentioned might be better, it basically puts less responsibility on the dps and more on the tank (that usually ends up with the responsibility on other fights anyways). If your dps can't handle amber-shaper I'd see it as a sign to replace them anyways though:P

Lol oops thought it said heroic! My bad. 2 heals is a go! We use 3 heals to let the heals see the fight. It's doable with 2 but with 3 it's just a little longer and p3 gets a little hectic. The interrupts are easy specially if your raiders have dbm. 1 to stack debuff/interrupt 2 interrupt yourself 3 drink pool 4 get out @ 20%. There's lots of different ways to do it. We go through p1 normally p2 we hero/lust for the big yellow guy p3 suited people shield everyone from the incoming dmg while stacking debuff. But like you said if players are having a hard time being suited and can't interrupt 1 they need dbm and know what they are suppose to interrupt 2 if they still can't learn it... Well your going to be stuck. Here's a tip for interrupts just watch the count down and know the cd of 1 knowing this you can stack the debuff. The only rng we had but seemed like a big was when we were suited we got the amber explosion and the suit explosion at the same time.

We 3 healed it on our first time with pool stacking in P1 and nobody touching the boss. We kept on stacking pools untill about 4 mins left till Berserk, placing the pools on the stairs around the center of the room. We timed reshape life so that on transition from P1->P2 no tank would be a construct and we pushed. Kept everyone in constructs during P3 and had a healthy time left untill berserk and plenty of pools for every construct.

Only side effect to this tactic is that everyone needs to know what he/she is doing in the construct. Any failing people might cause a wipe or lack of dps.

    Anyone...? =[
    P1:
    -Nuke constructs > nuke slimes/boss
    -Avoid pools/scalpel
    -constructs interrupt themselves

    P2:
-Nuke first two constructs (and 3rd and/or 4th if it is healer) > nuke monstrosity/slimes (First two people to get reshape life in p2 don't eat pools)
    -Avoid pools/scalpel/stomp(only for ranged)
-Spread out to not take additional damage from tank toss.
-1 tank on boss, 1 on monstrosity
    -interrupt explosion on monstrosity
    -constructs keep interrupting themselves

    P3:

    -ignore constructs
    -constructs keep interrupting themselves
