I'm thankful for religion, without it how the hell would I know who I'm supposed to hate?

Honestly I pity you as a human for even attempting to defend ANYTHING regarding the WBC, especially pertaining to this most recent incident. I mean seriously, how sad and pathetic can your life be?

The real world doesn't just "go away" because we close our eyes and hope that it does, idiot. Sounds redundant but you have to do shit and take action to get shit done. Personally I wish there was more I could do to show these insane fucks they don't belong in our society. Hell, they don't deserve to live in my opinion. It would be amazing if someone just killed them all slowly.
Well, you surely seem like a reasonable and quality human being. This post definitely entices me to engage.

Answer: ABSOLUTELY "free speech" should be limited. FUCK free speech if it means allowing these total fucking lunatics to voice their less than worthless opinion. It's very simple really, you amend the amendment so that it somehow makes it illegal for these miserable pricks to spread their hatred and boom, problem solved. Normal people like you and I get to keep exercising our right to free speech, and so does every other normal mother fucker, but when a group of inbred test tube rejects comes along to spread their hate, they get shut the fuck down and thrown in prison for their bullshit. Everybody wins

Just ban the things I don't like, it'll be perfect!

How about a ban on people writing out murder fantasies on the internet?

No, homosexuality is not ok in gods eyes. But he is not going to slaughter people because of it. The only time he actually mass murdered like that, or sent someone to mass murder(excluding the flood) was Sodom and Gamora, and the Amalekites, and they were doing worse things in those cities then homosexuality.
I'd love to know where you read that. You certainly aren't about to say the Bible because that's written by Man, not God, and only through a Man's word can you even remotely try to allude that it's God's words. In fact, the only "lore" that supports a direct handdown of God's word are the 10 Commandments. The Bible was conceived by Man, written by Man (in a time when the populace was illiterate), and has been translated and perverted throughout the centuries to suit Man's needs.

But, please, go ahead and tell me where God Himself stated that homosexuality isn't OK in his eyes.

It's OK, go ahead and search. You won't find anything to support your statement because it flat out doesn't fucking exist.

Which is pretty much what most religions end up becoming: platforms for hate. Sheep need religion, but a smart man needs only his faith and absolute belief in his God because he realizes that usually most religions get perverted to suit someone's desires.

They've celebrated peoples murders. Is that not equally as bad?

They're abusing the deaths of innocent children (which btw, the woman in charge of this picketing defended by saying "no children are innocent" and effectively boasted that more people will die at the hands of more shooters, because God said it should happen).

Not even close, really. I don't have any idea how you could come to the conclusion that celebrating death is equal to causing it.

I have an idea, how about you use sarcasm to completely avoid having to actually reply to the valid points I presented that nuked your flawed argument with holes and attempt to shift focus to something completely and utterly meaningless! Oh wait! You already did. Nice.

Idk if you're being sarcastic or not, but just in case. The Amalekites were wiped out because they were sacrificing children. So god sent the Israelites to kill every last one of them.

The last straw for Sodom and Gomorrah was a homosexual subject though, 2 Male Angels were sent to Lot and his family. While staying with them, the men who lived in the cities showed up to the house and told Lot to send the angels out so they could have sex with them. The cities were also filled with other forms of non-sexual sins of morality.

It's called Sodom and Gomorrah. lol Where do you think the word Sodomy comes from? The bible was original written by god. He told the writers what to put in it. But yes the bible has been altered through time to fit where it was handed out at, and has been translated wrong several times.

And also in Genesis. Ham, son of Noah, sodomized his father when he slept. As a result Ham's son Canaan was cursed.

False. That's pure speculation and bad speculation at that. The more likely scenario is that the majority of people will be in favor of this minor limitation to free speech because it won't affect them directly and will serve a good cause and at the same time not allow any further, more unreasonable and unjustified limitations from being accepted. Really it makes a lot of sense if you just think about it. Just because this one limitation would come to pass does not mean that the government would take the opportunity to shut everyone up forever and kill anyone who says words. That just doesn't at all seem logical to me.

And yes I understand these fucks are "well within their right legally" but as I've stated before, this does NOT make it right. I don't care that the human made law (read: inherently flawed) says that it's acceptable for these people to speak their stupid minds and protest funerals, it should NOT be the case. That's what I'm saying.

Or instead of complaining about it...............

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/1...ef=mostpopular

It seems the vitriolic, hyper-controversial group known as Westboro Baptist Church may have finally gone too far.

As soon as the WBC announced plans to picket a vigil for the victims of Friday's Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, hacktivist group Anonymous announced its own plans to retaliate against the group, with spokesperson Shirley Phelps-Roper so far bearing the brunt of the group's efforts.

In a video posted to Vimeo under the handle KY Anonymous, the group vowed retribution:

We will not allow you to corrupt the minds of America with your seeds of hatred," says the voice-over in the video.
"We will not allow you to inspire aggression to the social factions which you deem inferior. We will render you obsolete.
We will destroy you. We are coming.

Phelps-Roper, a relative of the group's founder, Fred Phelps, first announced the group's plan on Saturday "to sing praise to God for the glory of his work in executing his judgment" via her Twitter account.

But by Monday, Phelps-Roper's handle @DearShirley had been taken over by hacker @cosmothegod, who has since changed her Twiter background and tweeted out a petition calling for the White House to recognize Westboro Baptist Church as a hate group.

Anonymous claimed to have also changed Phelps-Roper's desktop background to gay porn, and successfully filed for a death certificate for Phelps-Roper, blocking her social security number, reports blog Arts Technica.

Via its its @YourAnonNews account, Anonomyous also claimed responsibility for the fact that Westboro Baptist Church's website was taken down, and a for a Pastebin a list of personal information apparently belonging to Westboro members that was posted online.

Twitter was unable to be reached for comment. But according to the Christian Science Monitor, when Twitter sees activity that indicates an account has been hacked, it automatically resets that account’s password to lock out intruders and sends the user a warning email about what’s going on.

So far, there has also been no news of Westboro carrying through on its threat. (Reddit users previously said they would create a silent blockade in Newtown to keep out any protesters.)

The Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church gained notoriety for picketing funerals of U.S. soldiers and AIDS victims with an extremely anti-LGBT stance. The group also threatened to picket the funerals of victims of the Tucson, Ariz., shooting andmemorial services after the Aurora, Colo., movie theater massacre.

CORRECTION:An earlier version of this story stated that WBC picketed memorial services in Tucson and Aurora. While the group threatened to picket, there is no evidence they actually did.

I dont even understand why people believe in a book of fairy tales that has no substantive proof attaining to the existence of any of the tales inside it, religion is also the biggest killer in the human species currently.

That's like saying a gun kills people. It's not the object, or belief that kills people. It's the people using/following it. A friend of mine is Muslim, but he hasn't blown up a building in the name of Allah.
