Taste For Blood, Blizz backpeddling (not qq about the change)

    Hey community,

Thought I'd start a post on the current state of tfb. This is not a post to qq about the nerfs but a post to discuss possible changes to improve the current ablilty. I want to hear your thoughts on how it could be improved.

In my opinion I feel that the fun factor is missing from the ability. I enjoyed trying to gain stacks to enable a small window of burst. However with it now limited to one stack its hardly worth tracking. So I think that the ability should be redesigned. Maybe a stacking buff that reduces the rage cost of slam and heroic strike. As the buff stacks higher they cost less. Meaning more heroic strikes and a damage output increase.

That's just one idea but I'd like to know your ideas however overpowered or different they may be, PvP only.

Added; This is not a QQ post about the decrease in DMG, only the complexity of the talent.

But Ghostcrawler plays mage! He would never patch something what could prevent mage dominance.
I see more nerfs coming -> Patch 4.3 Reloaded :O

Would like to see some changes to Taste for Blood, but I would rather have Avatar back to the way it was before anything else is changed.

Who cares? Warriors are still super good.

Kids gotta learn how to be thankful for what you have, it could be worse.

Warriors are fine. TfB nerfs make little or no impact to Warriors who are decent.

I totally understand that warriors are in a good place and I agree that the damage nerf to tfb was needed. What im trying to say is how it simplifies and makes warrior even more boring. I play the class because i like it rather than like most warriors at the minute who are fotm followers. If my class becomes boring, why would I want to continue to play my beloved warrior. It just seems to me that as the skill cap for warrior has dropped even lower in mop that this change to tbf makes the class even more boring.

    Anyone agree??

This pretty much, good Warriors will learn to adapt and continue playing like they always do, to the best of their ability.

This is not a post about 1 stack of tfb being underpowered. I am simply saying that it is boring as fuck and the tallent should be redesigned to be at least more interesting.

I have no problems putting out a ton of DMG with tfb changed to one stack. I want ideas on possible ways to make it more interesting.

The point is that the mechanic was never fun, it's all but removed from PvP now, but in PvE it's a DPS loss to do anything much with it, so i hope Blizz decide to just completely redo it and put in something more interesting, and while they're at it, something balanced for PvP too.

The thing I love about this is that 2 months ago Blizzard was like "we think PvP balance is fine, and warriors are fine, but we plan on doing a little balancing in 5.1."

5.1 Hits. Nerfed to 3 stacks maximum in PvP... "See, we fixed warriors, they are fine now."

2 weeks later... "Oh, we see what you guys were talking about 2-3 months ago (and throughout most of the beta). I guess you guys were right, warriors did have too much burst. TFB now 1 stack max."

Am I the only one that misses the old Vanilla stance dancing play-style?

Things do get boring whenever you can't one shot people huh?

On topic: Think of it as having to manage less things.

I think this much damage off the global, or for that matter ANY damage off the global, is a ludicrous gift. If damage off the global is going to be a thing, I want it too.

If it isn't going to be a thing, one stack tfb is the closest we get until a redesign.

TFB still works the same in pve currently (still can get 5stacks), so nothing has changed pve wise in its usefulness

It's not about the potential damage (Note: potential, it's pretty much completely RNG with very small chance of spikes), it's that actively waiting for stacks and not bleeding off rage on HS when you're close to capping it is a DPS-loss, so there is really no skill to using it, it's a near-passive buff to a skill where it's already predetermined when you use it, TfB can conceivably give huge DPS-spikes, or for long periods of time do nothing noticeable at all (1 stack streaks), but it's never truly fun, and stuff that isn't fun (like redesigning a great spec and tacking an aberration like TfB onto it) should be changed, something about fun being the point of gaming i read somewhere...

    what IS fun?

  20. #20
OK, maybe the word fun was wrong, maybe I should have used interesting. All I'm trying to point out is that monitoring a buff however simple provides another aspect of the class which requires a little extra skill. I just feel that the class has become too simplified.

So, how would you like it changed?

Agree. This is what I ment by back peddling. One minute 5 stacks in fine and people should learn to monitor the buff, telling us they support five, then they say three, now one? Kinda pathetic. Surely with the multiple gaming experts with years of knowledge and experience behind them they saw this coming. Doesn't fill me with confidence in blizzards competence.
